Abstract: A ball and seat valve for high temperature and pressure applications, such as those used in isolation barrier valves in subterranean wells, is disclosed. The valve incorporates thermally fitted sleeve into the ball and/or the seat to allow for greater pressures and temperatures due to resultant stresses left with the parts due to interference. Additionally, the materials making up the sleeves may be chosen to allow for greater resistance to corrosive and erosive wellbore fluids.
Abstract: A check valve, including a valve and a valve support surface, to permit a fluid to move through the check valve in a first direction and resist a fluid flow through the valve in a second direction, the valve having a valve diaphragm and an isolating bridge, with a portion of the valve engaging against valve support surface to resist deformation or stretching of the valve when a backflow of fluid into the check valve occurs. The valve support surface having a first support surface and a second support surface, and the valve positioned with the valve diaphragm spaced apart from the first support surface, and the isolating bridge spaced apart from the second support surface.
Abstract: A regulator first stage for two-stage underwater breathing apparatuses includes a reduction chamber communicating with a high-pressure gas supply through a balance valve, which is influenced by the pressure of the external environment by a balance diaphragm that, by way of a suitable actuator, acts on the valve. The reduction chamber includes one or more medium pressure outlets, having axes parallel to the operating axis of the balance valve. In one configuration, one or more medium pressure outlets are also provided having axes orthogonal to the operating axis of the valve.
Abstract: A valve fitting for filling a sanitary cistern includes a connection element, a shutoff valve including an actuation element, and a float-actuated filling valve. The connection element, shutoff valve and filling valve are interconnected to form a water passage into the cistern. A float is connected to the filling valve. The actuation element of the shutoff valve is rotatable about a rotational axis when the float is in the operating position thereof, the shutoff valve being operationally usable in the valve fitting in at least two different positions, the connection element configured to be mounted at an opening in the left-hand cistern side wall in one of the positions, and at an opening in the right-hand cistern side wall in another of the positions, and the actuation element being accessible from the front of the valve fitting in the at least two positions of the shutoff valve.
Abstract: Provided is an enclosure with an integrated hydrant. The enclosure includes a fluid flow conduit that transfers fluid from a fluid supply tube to a fluid outlet, which may be associated with the backflow preventer. The enclosure has a conduit that carries water from the fluid supply tube to the backflow preventer. Thus, a lower profile, lighter, and more aesthetically pleasing enclosure is provided.
Abstract: A method is disclosed herein for detecting cracks of a fluid storage tank due to breakage of a wall of the fluid storage tank. In an example embodiment, the method includes positioning an enclosed pressure-resistant jacket around an outer wall of the fluid storage tank, controlling a temperature of the fluid in the fluid storage tank by allowing a liquid cooling or heating medium to flow in the enclosed pressure-resistant jacket at a pressure lower than a pressure x applied within the fluid storage tank, maintaining the pressure in the pressure-resistant jacket lower than the pressure x, sampling the cooling or heating medium from an air pool provided in a passage of the cooling or heating medium, and analyzing components of the cooling or heating medium, while preventing contamination of the fluid in the fluid storage tank with the liquid cooling or heating medium.

Abstract: A liquid transfer apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The liquid transfer apparatus includes a first auxiliary cover, a second auxiliary cover, a transfer tube and a breathing pipe. The first auxiliary cover is configured to cover a container for holding a liquid to be transferred; and the second auxiliary cover is configured to cover a target container. One end of the transfer tube runs through the first auxiliary cover and the other end runs through the second auxiliary cover. One end of the breathing pipe runs through the first auxiliary cover and the other end is configured to introduce nitrogen, or an inert gas, so that the liquid in the container for holding the liquid to be transferred can be transferred to the target container through the transfer tube.
Abstract: The adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem comprises a body, a cap, a plurality of jaws, and a handle. The device may couple to a valve stem of a faucet in place of a valve handle that is missing or broken. The plurality of jaws located within the body may be raised and lowered by rotating the cap relative to the body. A jaw thread on the plurality of jaws may engage a cap thread on the interior of the cap to cause movement of the jaws. The jaws may be included by a jaw inclination angle such that raising or lowering the jaws may cause the lower ends of the jaws to separate or to converge. Convergence of the lower ends of the jaws may allow the jaws to grip a valve stem. A handle may cover the cap to enhance the user's grasp.
Abstract: Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for monitoring and indicating the sealing of a pneumatic valve. A method may comprise detecting a position of a first magnet, wherein the first magnet is fixed to a housing cover of the pneumatic valve; comparing the detected position of the first magnet with a predetermined optimum position of the first magnet, wherein the optimum position is the position of the first magnet when there is a sufficient seal between the housing cover and a housing base of the pneumatic valve; when the detected position of the first magnet is not within a threshold of the optimum position of the first magnet, indicating an insufficient seal between the housing cover and the housing base; and when the detected position of the first magnet is within a threshold of the optimum position of the first magnet, continuing normal operation of the pneumatic valve.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a trim arrangement for a ball valve. The trim arrangement includes a first seat assembly having a first seat, a threaded collar, and a biasing element. The first seat is in contact with a first side of a ball element, and the threaded collar is threadably coupled to the first seat and in engagement with the biasing element. The trim arrangement further includes a second seat assembly having a second seat in contact with a second side of the ball element. The biasing element biases the first seat toward the first side of the ball element to provide a contact stress between the first seat and the first side of the ball element and the second seat and the second side of the ball element. The contact stress provided by the biasing element is adjustable by rotating the first seat.
Abstract: Insert elements that may be positioned within a high pressure plug valve. The elements have two or more recessed grooves formed around the fluid opening of the elements. The grooves are spaced from one another. A seal is placed in one and only one of the grooves. As wear occurs, the seal is relocated to one of the other grooves. Instead of a series of spaced grooves in a single insert element, a kit may be formed from two or more otherwise identical insert elements, each with a single recessed groove at a different position around the fluid opening.

The valve plate (10, 11) moves between a retracted position and an extended position. In the second position of the carrier unit (9) and in the extended position of the valve plate (10, 11), the valve opening (2, 3) is in the closed state. In the retracted position, the valve plate (10, 11) is supported against the carrier unit (9).

Abstract: A check valve comprises a valve housing defining a pair of valve openings, a pair of mounting posts arranged on opposed sides of the valve housing, a hinge pin mounted between said mounting posts, a pair of flapper elements pivotably mounted to the one or more hinge pins for rotation relative to the housing between an open position in which they permit fluid flow through the respective valve openings and a closed position in which they prevent fluid flow through the valve openings. Abstract: Modular electrical appliance for recycling greywater, connected to: a drainage pipe (S1) via which greywater enters into the greywater reservoir (1) thereof; a sanitary water supply (S) via which sanitary water enters into the auxiliary reservoir (7) thereof; and a flush pipe (D) which connects to the standard opening of the tank (WC) of a toilet. The electrical appliance has a built-in three-way valve (4) which opens the outlet of said greywater reservoir (1) if it contains a sufficient amount for a full flush.
