  • Patent number: 9941601
Abstract: A transition portion (4) has a surface (14) that is formed extending upward. The surface (14) is a surface formed extending upward so as to face a bottom portion (6a). Specifically, the transition portion (4) has a cross-sectional shape in which upper edge portions of side portions (8a) are bent inward. As the surface (14) approaches a main terminal body (3) from a sealing portion (22), the surface (14) gradually separates away from the bottom portion (6a) and the edge portions of the surface (14) gradually open outward and connect to side portions (8b) of the main terminal body (3). The surface (14) is formed so as to be curved upward, in a cross-section, from the end portion of the sealing portion (22).

  • Patent number: 8500491
Abstract: An electrical connection device configured with a conductive connection member having a joint portion joined to an electrode member while being pressed against the electrode member in a pressing direction. An insulating support body supports the connection member such that the connection member includes the joint portion which is formed in a flat plate shape and is brought into surface contact with a joint surface of the electrode member. Crossover portions sandwich the joint portion and extend toward both sides along a predetermined extending direction. Supported portions are provided at respective end portions, opposite the joint portion, of the crossover portions on both sides. The support body is disposed at least on both sides of the joint portion in the extending direction and spaced apart from the joint portion, and formed to integrally support the supported portions on both sides of the joint portion.

  • Patent number: 7705259
Abstract: Mobile phones are in a trend of having thinner configuration due to emphasis on the design. Thus, in order to meet this demand, the present invention aims to thin the key sheet portion as much as possible. A thin key sheet and a thin key unit incorporating the thin key sheet are configured by providing on its surface a key top 2 made of a metal or a resin with indications such as letters, symbols, graphics or the like indicating the functions of keys are formed on the front surface or the back surface thereof, and switch elements 4 for turning ON/OFF of an electric circuit by the pressing of the key top, together with a printed circuit board 5 on which a circuit pattern involved therewith is formed; and by adhering and fixing the key top 2 and the printed circuit board 5 together via a cushion gasket 3 having appropriate elasticity and a filler layer 14 disposed between the key top and the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7663071
Abstract: A keypad assembly having three-dimensional patterns includes a bottom layer, a light-guiding plate, a pattern layer, a coating layer and a surface layer. The light-guiding plate is overlapped on the bottom layer. The pattern layer is provided on the light-guiding plate. A plurality of three-dimensional patterns is provided on the pattern layer. The coating layer is coated on the upper surface of the pattern layer. The surface layer is overlapped on the coating layer. The surface layer is formed with a plurality of keycaps to correspond to the three-dimensional patterns. Via the above arrangement, patterns such as characters, symbols or icons can be displayed in the keycaps in a three-dimensional manner, thereby increasing recognition and visual effect.

  • Patent number: 5838220
Abstract: Toroidal transformers and other toroidal magnetic components need insulation between separate windings. International safety standards specify minimum requirements for both total insulation thickness and number of layers of insulation. The safety requirements can be met by a toroidal transformer insulation method and toroidal transformer having, in combination, a wide sheet of insulation material covering the outside perimeter and the top and bottom radial surfaces of a winding but not entering into the center hole, and wrapping with a narrow strip of insulation material for covering the entire winding and the wide sheet of insulation material. Because the wide sheet adds insulation on the outside perimeter of the winding, which is larger then the inside perimeter of the center hole, the outer wrapping with the narrow strip need only provide the insulation actually required on the inside perimeter of the center hole.

  • Patent number: 5697409
Abstract: A diluting station and a pipetting station for a machine such as a biological sample testing machine. The diluting station has a rotating shot tube that fills with diluent without the need for priming when the shot tube is in a vertically inclined orientation, and which dispenses the diluent into a receptacle when the shot tube is rotated to a downward orientation. A thimble valve is placed in the shot tube to control the flow of diluent into the valve. The pipetting station includes a cylindrical housing storing a plurality of straws and a concentric rotating drum that sweeps a straw into a straw withdrawal slot. A tubular tapered transfer pin is inserted into the straw frictional into engagement with the straw. The tubular transfer pin rotates the straw out of the slot into a generally downward orientation towards a receptacle containing a fluid. The pin and straw are lowered so as to place the end of the straw into the fluid.
