Abstract: Spring operated actuator devices for an electrical circuit breaker and/or electrical switching device include at least one clock spring comprising a disc shaped body with gear teeth and a spiral spring, a cam shaft holding the at least one clock spring with an inner end portion of the spiral spring attached to the cam shaft, and a drive cam held by the cam shaft adapted to be in communication with a follower that directs an actuator to open or close a mobile contact to maintain open and closed energy status of the electrical circuit. The at least one clock spring is configured as a closing spring of the spring operated actuator.

Abstract: A seal structure for a switch mechanism includes a switch disposed in a housing, an operating member protruding forward from the housing through an opening formed in the housing and configured to turn on or off the switch, a rubber cover attached to the operating member from a front-side of the operating member and having a rear end engageable with the opening, and a fixing cover fixed to the operating member from outside the rubber cover so as to integrate the rubber cover with the operating member. In this seal structure, the rubber cover seals gap between the opening and the operating member.

Abstract: An electrical connector for mating with a plug includes an insulative housing, a number of contacts retained in the insulative housing, a metal shield and at least one metal spring fixed to the metal shield. The metal spring and the metal shield are made of different materials. The metal shield covers the insulative housing to define a receiving cavity formed by a plurality of peripheral walls. One of the peripheral walls defines a slot communicating with the receiving cavity. The metal spring is securely fixed to the peripheral walls and including an engaging arm extending into the receiving cavity through the slot.
Abstract: The invention features novel systems and methods for latching a pluggable transceiver to and unlatching the pluggable transceiver from a cage. In one aspect, a pluggable transceiver includes a housing and a cam. The housing has a front end configured to couple to a transmission cable and a back end configured to be inserted into a cage. The cam is disposed on an exposed outer surface of the transceiver housing and is configured to displace a cage latch and engage a cage slot upon insertion of the transceiver housing into the cage. In another aspect, a cage includes a housing and a latch. The housing has a front end for receiving a pluggable transceiver and defines a slot for engaging a transceiver cam. The latch is disposed at the front end of the cage housing.
