  • Patent number: 5388966
Abstract: The toilet bowl drainage pump includes an elongate housing having a curved forward end from which a length of tubing extends and in which a plurality of openings are cut at a larger diameter of the curve. A motorized impeller is seated within one chamber in the housing into which the openings lead and out of which the tubing leads. A power source for the motor is provided in a second isolated chamber is selectively operable to energize the pump. In use, the tubing is fed through and over a drain trap of the toilet bowl as the forward end of the housing is seated along a bottommost surface of the bowl. The motor is then activated to pull water into the housing openings and eject the water throughout the tubing.

  • Patent number: 5295796
Abstract: A variable displacement hydraulic piston pump having a cylinder block provided with cylinder bores formed therein to receive reciprocatory pistons and capable of rotating together with an axial drive shaft, a swash plate pivotally supported to reciprocate the pistons in the cylinder bores in response to the rotation of the cylinder block thereby discharging pressurized oil, a resilient unit for constantly urging the swash plate to a small inclination-angle position, a hydraulic control cylinder capable of providing the swash plate with a controlled force moving the swash plate toward a large inclination-angle position, an input shaft connected to the drive shaft to transmit a rotary drive power rotating the drive shaft, and a torque limiter arranged between the input and drive shafts so as to be able to disconnect the drive shaft from the input shaft when an abnormal excessive load is applied to the drive shaft thereby protecting internal elements and parts of the pump from damage and breakage.

  • Patent number: 5282727
Abstract: A water pump assembly for an aquarium aeration system includes a housing surrounding an electric pump. Within the housing, a water conduit passes an impeller of the pump for the generation of a stream of moving water. An air-breather conduit conducts air from a location above the housing to an air-induction port in a sidewall of the water conduit. The aquarium power head is provided with a clamp for attaching the power head to the aquarium tank. The clamp has a ring which mates a tubular inlet portion of the housing and engages that inlet portion. A flow diverter to adjust the water flow exiting the power head in a desired direction is adjustably connected to the outlet portion of the housing of the power head.

  • Patent number: 5058921
Abstract: A linear bilateral inflator module in which the inflator component of the module has two opposed cylindrical combustion chambers mounted in a horizontal plane at either end of the inflator. These chambers are joined to and supported by a central T-shaped inflator housing containing an ignitor for initiating combustion of the propellant within the inflator. The lower leg of this central section is configured as a tubular extension which may optionally be joined to a separate conduit member adapted for permitting a reciprocal fluid flow into and out of the air bag through the inflator. The extension also serves as a point of attachment for an outer surrounding base plate assembly. A bead, located within the mouth portion of the air bag, is trapped between the inflator and the base plate during formation of the structural seal between these components such that the inflator is completely enclosed within the bag.

  • Patent number: 4843968
Abstract: At a station of an overhead cable transport installation, such as an aerial cableway, wherein the disembarking section is connected with the embarking section by a transfer section, a revolving clock conveyor travels along the transfer section. This clock conveyor is provided with entrainment members arranged thereat at a predeterminate spacing from one another and the clock conveyor is driven by the drive of a revolving cable. A further revolving conveyor travels substantially parallel to the clock conveyor along the transfer section. This further revolving conveyor is equipped with a multiplicity of driver elements distributed over the length thereof and which possesses a somewhat smaller revolving velocity than the clock conveyor.
