  • Patent number: 9638311
Abstract: Hemispherical protrusions are protrudingly provided in end surfaces of a rotor gear and a tooth portion of a small gear having the smaller number of gear teeth between the rotor gear and a large gear of an intermediate gear, and between the small gear of the intermediate gear and an output gear, which are meshed with each other in a transmission gear train. Thus, in a case where the large gear rides on the rotor gear or the small gear rides on the output gear when the intermediate gear is accommodated in a housing after the rotor gear and the output gear are accommodated, it is possible to cancel the riding state thereof only by applying a slight vibration to the housing.

  • Patent number: 9593977
Abstract: A system including a float ball, a pole, a sleeve, an indicator disk, and a dynamo circuit provides information regarding the water level in a tank, and whether fluid is flowing into the tank. The pole slides within the sleeve, through a slab above the tank. A first end of the pole is supported by the float ball, which floats within the tank, while the second end of the pole is located above the slab and supports the indicator disk. A user can detect the water level in the tank based on the height of the indicator disk. A user can also detect whether water is flowing into the tank. The dynamo circuit activates an LED located on the indicator disk when water is flowing into the tank.

  • Patent number: 9518879
Abstract: Systems and methods using fluid-filled hollow microspheres to assist in monitoring or indicating high-energy blunt impacts on structures such as aircraft. A multiplicity of microspheres may be adhered to or embedded in a coating applied on a surface of a substrate (e.g., a tape or an appliqué), which substrate in turn can be adhered to a surface of a structure to be monitored. The microspheres are designed to rupture at one or more specified pressure thresholds. In some embodiments, the microspheres are filled with electrically conductive fluid which, if released from ruptured microsphere, changes the electromagnetic state of the substrate. In response to the detection of a sufficiently large change in the electromagnetic state of the substrate, a blunt impact indication is generated. The impact site may then undergo non-destructive inspection.
