  • Patent number: 7841148
Abstract: A roofing system including horizontal or sloped metal framing members, for example, C-joists, U-joists, open web joists, or other metal frame systems that support a reinforced, lightweight, dimensionally stable SCP panel. The roofing system is non-combustible, water durable, mold and rot resistant, termite resistant and is capable of resisting shear loads equal to or exceeding shear loads provided by plywood or oriented strand board panels. The panels employ one or more layers of a continuous phase resulting from the curing of an aqueous mixture of inorganic binder, for example, calcium sulfate alpha hemihydrate, hydraulic cement, an active pozzolan and lime. The continuous phase is reinforced with glass fibers and contains lightweight filler particles, for example, ceramic microspheres.

  • Patent number: 7841153
Abstract: A combination of an enclosure and a treated foam design and a method of manufacturing a treated foam design and combining the foam design with an enclosure consisting of a pool cage having vertical and horizontal aluminum tubing sections. After the enclosure (cage) is measured, the measurements are entered into an auto cad program and the cad file is entered into a computer controlled contour cutter. The colonnade pieces are then painted. The columns, cornices and trim contain depressions to fit around and conceal the tubing sections or tent poles. The aesthetically formed foam columns, cornices and trim are attached to the enclosure structure with a construction adhesive.

  • Patent number: 7836657
Abstract: A combination stud and bridging member for use in a metal wall. The stud includes a web and a pair of flanges with the web including first and second sides and having a depression formed therein. Adapted to engage or extend through the web, the bridging member includes first and second end portions. One end portion includes a concave shaped recess that when disposed adjacent the stud accommodates the depression formed in the web. Disposed on the end portion of the bridging member having the concave recess is a projection receiver. Disposed on the opposite end of the bridging member is a projection. In a wall structure, the bridging members are adapted to extend between the studs. More particularly, the projections of the bridging members extend through openings formed in the web of the studs and into the projection receivers of adjacent bridging members to form an interlocked relationship.

  • Patent number: 7836649
Abstract: Laminated flooring panels include decorative motifs, mechanically embossed-in-registration surface textures, recessed perimeters, and locking mechanisms. The locking mechanisms facilitate the alignment of adjacent flooring panels. Adjacent flooring panels substantially aligned allow embossed-in-registration patterns to be substantially continuous across adjacent flooring panels. The recessed perimeter prevents the edges of the flooring panel from prematurely wearing. Individual flooring panels within the flooring system may comprise at least one partial sub-panel having a decorative motif and/or embossed surface texture that is complementary with a decorative motif and/or embossed surface texture of a neighboring partial sub-panel.

  • Patent number: 7836647
Abstract: The invention concerns a filtering wall designed for an expendable formwork comprising a lattice formed by assembling flexible warp and weft yarns, the lattice being stretched on an undeformable structure. The filtering wall is characterized in that some of the warp yarns are more resistant than other warp yarns, the lattice being stretched by traction solely exerted on the more resistant warp yarns and in that it comprises tension maintaining means for maintaining the tension associating the more resistant yarns with the undeformable structure, the tension maintaining means delimiting a larger mesh than the one resulting from the initial interlacing of the warp and weft yarns.

  • Patent number: 7836663
Abstract: A one layer building panel derives its structural integrity from a foam forming the layer that bonds to horizontal and vertical stud members with a mesh material disposed therein. The vertical members can be provided at the edges of the building panel. The horizontal members can be provided at the edges of the building panel and together with the vertical member form a peripheral frame for the building panel. The foam is bonded to the horizontal and vertical stud members using above ambient temperatures and pressures. A mesh can be provided within the foam. A fiber reinforced layer can be provided on the interior and/or exterior surfaces of the foam. Building panels can be connected to one another to construct a building wall and ceiling using stud members having an interlocking capabilities. The building panels can be inserted into tracks secured to a floor using anchors.

  • Patent number: 7837055
Abstract: An LNG full containment system is provided. The LNG system generally comprises a primary container, and a secondary container positioned around the primary container. The secondary container generally comprises a first end wall, a second end wall, and at least two side walls. At least one of the walls is fabricated from a plurality of prefabricated wall panels. Each of the wall panels is fabricated from a combination of concrete and steel. The wall panels are preferably prefabricated offsite, and then transported to the construction site where they are adjoined together in end-to-end fashion to form walls. A method for constructing a full containment LNG system is also provided. In one embodiment, walls and a roof for a secondary container are assembled, but leaving an end open. • Patent number: 7836644
Abstract: A molding system and method for installation that covers existing molding. The molding system covers existing trim for doorways and floors with a more decorative molding. The invention includes a molding overlay that has three points of contact. An upper corner block covers the intersections of the existing doorway molding, and a lower corner block covers a section of the existing doorway molding with the existing baseboard, eliminating the need to cut mitered angles in the overlay molding. Recesses in the backside of the corner blocks allow the corner blocks to receive the old molding. The molding overlay abuts the corner blocks, thereby avoiding the requirements for making any cuts other than perpendicular cuts.

  • Patent number: RE41945
Abstract: A substrate for use in a flooring system which has a subfloor and a decorative upper layer. The substrate is made in a continuous sheet which has a bottom surface, a top surface, side surfaces and end surfaces. The top surface and the oppositely facing bottom surface are essentially parallel to each other and are spaced apart by the thickness of the substrate. Voids are provided in the substrate, the voids are provided between particles of rubber or other similar material. When the substrate is positioned between the subfloor and the decorative top layer, the particles of rubber provide the strength required to prevent deformation of the substrate in the direction of the thickness and the voids contribute to the sound dampening characteristics required to provide decibel reduction across the thickness of the substrate.
