  • Patent number: 6681916
Abstract: A system for conveying LCD glass substrates 100 traveling between processing devices 210, 220 and 230 and conveying LCD glass substrates. The conveyor system 100 includes an upper conveyor 110 for conveying LCD glass substrates in the feeding direction between processing devices, a lower conveyor 120 arranged so as to form a multi-storied structure together with the upper conveyor for conveying LCD glass substrates in the return direction between processing devices, and a vertical conveyor for vertically conveying LCD glass substrates from the upper conveyor to the lower conveyor or vice versa. The vertical conveyor is provided with a plurality of conveyor tables, of which each is able to support the a LCD glass substrate from the underside thereof and moving it up and down linking to each other. One conveyor table forms a part of the upper conveyor while the another conveyor table forms a part of the lower conveyor.

  • Patent number: 6575289
Abstract: A spout-equipped bag feed apparatus allows an increased number of spout-equipped bags to be stored. A plurality of conveyor rails are attached to a conveying device at a predetermined space and carried along an endless track. Each conveyor rail is capable of being loaded with and unloaded of a plurality of spout-equipped bags from one end thereof and capable of supporting the spout portions of the bags in such a manner that the bags are movable in the axial direction. Loading of bags into the conveyor rail is effected with a bag loading tool capable of being loaded with and unloaded of bags from one end thereof and capable of supporting the spout portions of the bags in such a manner that the bags are movable in the axial direction. The one end of the bag loading tool is butted against the one end of the conveyor rail, and the bags are pushed into the conveyor rail.

  • Patent number: 6550810
Abstract: A seat belt retractor (12) comprises a frame (40), a seat belt webbing spool (42) rotatably mounted in the frame (40), and an actuator (70) for locking the seat belt webbing spool (42) against rotation in at least one direction (B) in the frame (40). The actuator (70) is mounted to the frame (40). An accelerometer (82) provides an electrical output signal indicative of vehicle deceleration. The accelerometer (82) is mounted on the frame (40). A controller (84) monitors the electrical output signal and causes the actuator (70) to lock the seat belt webbing spool (42) against rotation in the at least one direction (B) upon the occurrence of a predetermined amount of vehicle deceleration. The controller (84) is mounted on the frame (40).

  • Patent number: 6293539
Abstract: A medium feeding apparatus comprises a driving motor for moving a backup plate to press a medium against a pickup roller, piezoelectric elements for sensing slippage between the pickup roller and the medium which occurs while the roller rotates, and a controller for driving the driving motor to thereby vary a force for pressing the medium against the pickup roller, when the sensing means has sensed slippage between the pickup roller and the medium.

  • Patent number: 6036407
Abstract: A gas conveying system capable of conveying a solid material without pushing or compressing the solid material. The system comprising: at least one conduit assembly comprising a conduit, a lance assembly disposed about a first end of the conduit which is capable of removing the solid material from a holding device, and a first eductor which is capable of entraining the solid material in a gas stream and moving the solid material through the conduit; a cyclone disposed about a second end of the conduit, the cyclone being capable of separating the solid material from the gas stream; and a second eductor disposed to receive the solid material from the cyclone, the second eductor being capable of entraining the solid material in a second gas stream which has a solid-material-to gas mass ratio which is greater than that of the first eductor. The second stage eductor transports the particles further downstream for storage, additional transport, or for further treatment, such as burning in an incinerator.
