  • Patent number: 11882203
Abstract: In one embodiment, a Segment Routing network node provides efficiencies in processing and communicating Internet Protocol packets in a network. This Segment Routing node typically advertises (e.g., using Border Gateway Protocol) its Segment Routing processing capabilities, such as Penultimate Segment Pop (PSP) and/or Ultimate Segment Pop (USP) of a Segment Routing Header (including in the context of a packet that has multiple Segment Routing Headers). Subsequently, an Internet Protocol Segment Routing packet having multiple Segment Routing Headers is received. The packet is processed according to a Segment Routing function, with is processing including removing a first one of the Segment Routing Headers and forwarding the resultant Segment Routing packet. The value of the Segments Left field in the first Segment Routing Header identifies to perform PSP when the value is one, to perform USP when the value is zero, or to perform other processing.

  • Patent number: 11871469
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may support multiple radio access technologies (RATs). The UE may communicate using both a Long Term Evolution (LTE) connection for control signaling and a New Radio (NR) connection for data signaling in a non-standalone (NSA) mode. However, if the UE uses a data rate below a threshold, the NR connection may be inefficient. To reduce processing overhead, the UE may fall back to using the LTE connection for data communications. For example, the UE may delay or abort adding an NR connection based on the data rate. In some examples, the UE may transmit a fake report or a fake uplink message to trigger dropping an NR connection. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may indicate a preferred mode of operation to the network indicating a preference for communicating data via an LTE connection.

  • Patent number: 11811502
Abstract: An outdoor device of a timing system includes a receiver for receiving clock information from a satellite system, a processing system for running master functionality of a clock synchronization protocol to transfer the clock information to an indoor device of the timing system, and a transceiver for transferring data between the outdoor device and the indoor device. A memory device stores a fixed delay value estimating a time delay from a reception moment of a request message related to the clock synchronization protocol to a transmission moment of a reply message. There is no need to compute a difference between clock times corresponding to the reception moment and the transmission moment because the fixed delay value is used in lieu of the difference in the clock synchronization protocol. Thus, quality requirements related to an oscillator of the outdoor device can be mitigated.

  • Patent number: 11800423
Abstract: A wireless access point software application, including multiple software modules, dynamically determines the interference level of each channel. The application determines that a new channel is better suited to serve an RTC/RTE application over the present channel based on the interference levels and a set of interference measure thresholds. The application automatically creates a new basic service set on the new channel and associates the RTC/RTE device running the RTC/RTE application with the new basic service set. The application further refuses to associate the RTC/RTE device with the previous channel when the interference level on the new channel remains low based on a second set of interference measure thresholds. In addition, the application allows additional RTC/RTE devices to join the new basic service set with the first RTC/RTE device when the interference level on the new channel remains low based on the second set of interference measure thresholds.

  • Patent number: 11696206
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved implementation of a flood fill mesh network that utilizes probability forwarding for rebroadcasting network messages. The forwarding probability may be determined based on analyzing a network topology map constructed by each network node relative to its neighbor nodes communicating on the network and derived from state information contained in synchronization frames broadcasted by the network nodes on the network. The forwarding probability may comprise a statistical probability that a message frame received by a network node will be forwarded to the intended destination network node by one or more of the network node's neighbor network nodes.
