Abstract: A control including an activator for effecting a control function; an actuator coupled to the activator and movable in a reciprocating path to control operation thereof; an operator coupled to the actuator and adapted for manual manipulation between active and inactive positions, the operator in its active position rendering the actuator functional to control operation of the activator and in its inactive position rendering the actuator dysfunctional to control operation of the activator; and a means biasing the operator in its inactive position.
Abstract: An improved food spill catching device (10) with folded straps (12) mounted in a tray portion 10c for attaching the device around the neck of a person is described. The device is preferably provided by forming the straps 12 and trays (10b and 10c) separately as preforms (20 and 30) which are then assembled and formed into the device.
Abstract: An interlocked infrared detector wall switch which prevents use of the full "on" position that bypasses the infrared sensor, but permits changeover by service personnel to use the full "on" position. The slide switch on the wall switch assembly is partially covered by a snap-on interlock plate so that it can not be moved to the full "on" position. Removal of the interlock plate requires a screwdriver for leverage within an opening at the bottom of the interlock plate, but this opening is covered by the decorative switch plate, so that removal of the interlock plate is impossible without first removing the covering decorative plate. Casual disabling of the interlock is thereby prevented.
