  • Patent number: 11606714
Abstract: Provided is a controller for optimizing a wireless network by selectively enabling different codecs at different Radio Access Networks (“RANs”), and/or by dynamically provisioning resources to support interoperability between the selectively enabled codecs and other codecs in use elsewhere in the network. The controller may receive a request with an indication of a first codec and a second codec for establishing a session via a particular RAN. The controller may disable availability of the second codec for the session by providing a modified request that omits the second codec in response to the quality of service at the particular RAN satisfying performance criteria. The controller may selectively enable use of the second codec and provide transcoding between the first and second codecs by forwarding the request without modification to the session recipient in response to the quality of service at the particular RAN not satisfying the performance criteria.

  • Patent number: 11589403
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing dynamic power control with minimal complexity in a dual connectivity mode. In particular, a user equipment (UE) may determine the reserved power (or maximum available power) for uplink transmissions on one or more cells in one cell group to a base station based on the total power available to the UE and the minimum reserved power for uplink transmissions on one or more cells in another cell group. Once the UE determines the reserved power for conflicting uplink transmissions on one or more cells in a cell group, the UE may allocate the reserved power to each uplink transmission on the one or more cells in the cell group (e.g., based on a priority of each of the uplink transmissions).

  • Patent number: 11570674
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically managing the states (e.g., enabling/disabling) of telecommunication services/features are disclosed. To do so, the system associates parameters (e.g., timers) with the impacted services/features. For example, when a user experiences issues with voice calls, he/she calls the telecommunications service provider (carrier) to help resolve the issue. A customer care representative may ask the user to temporality turn off the VoNR service to help alleviate the issue. When the user turns off (or toggles off) the VoNR service on his/her mobile device, the system can start a configurable timer (parameter) for the VoNR service. In this manner, the system can replace the conventional toggle on/off feature with a time-based feature. The system monitors the timer's value and when the timers value reaches a target value (e.g., 24 hours, 1 week, etc.), the system alerts the user that the VoNR service will be turned on (or toggled on).

  • Patent number: 11496416
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to enhancing communication of network traffic. In various embodiments, a computer system receives topology information and traffic information. The topology information describes resources of a network that are usable to communicate a plurality of streams among nodes in the network and includes information about a first path and a second path connecting two nodes. Traffic information describes demands for communicating the plurality of streams and indicates demands for communicating a first stream and a second stream between the two nodes. In such an embodiment, the computer system determines, using the topology information and the traffic information, a network schedule that indicates that the first stream is to be communicated over the first path and that the second stream is to be communicated over the second path.
