Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of removable and/or adjustable stabilizing assemblies for stabilizing a canopy of a cantilever umbrella. A removable stabilizing assembly can have a support assembly, a first rib fixation assembly, and a first strut. The support assembly can be removably coupled to an upright pole of a cantilever umbrella assembly. The support assembly can have a base member and a first strut seat coupled to or formed as part of the base member. The first rib fixation assembly can be removably coupled to a first rib of a plurality of ribs of a canopy assembly of the cantilever umbrella assembly. The first strut can have a first end and a second end. The first end can be pivotally coupled to the base member of the support assembly by the first strut seat. The second end can be pivotally coupled to the first rib fixation assembly.

Abstract: Provided is a hybrid shelter comprising multiple rigid panels or panel sections comprising a floor section, a roof section, two side-wall sections, and two end-wall sections; a water-resistant soft-shell; and a case. The shelter is transitionable between an expanded configuration in which the side-wall sections and the end-wall sections are vertical and perpendicular to the floor section and a collapsed configuration in which the rigid panels and the soft-shell are folded or hinged and fully enclosed in the case. The soft-shell covers one or both sides of the roof section, the side-wall sections and the end-wall sections of the rigid panels in the expanded configuration.

Abstract: The sunshade/shield structure invention is practical, portable, and effective in skin care protection and prevention of skin cancer. It can be made as a commercial use product with less portability features or a residential/consumer model which is portable and can be disassembled and reassembled quickly via pins and or shock cords like camping hike tents. Its aerodynamic design is wind resistant and porous so water during a storm won't pool and stress the frame. It can be made of metal materials that are powder coated or high-impact absorbing, UV-protected plastics. The ground frame/base can be extended in length or width for custom chair fitting and stability because the frame sleeves in and out. A sand or ground anchor can be used in the yard or on the beach instead of the ground stand. The leg post interfaces with both ground and sand anchor bases. The ground frame will have two roller wheels so moving will be easy. Tip the shade back and touch the wheels to the hard surface for easy relocating.

Abstract: An umbrella assembly with a drive module assembly that comprises a plurality of modularized units, including a separate power supply unit and a separate drive unit. The modularized units are removably/detachably attached in a stacked structure of the overall drive module using quick connect couplings. The interfacing top and bottom sides of the adjacent modularized units are provided with complementary electrical connection terminals. The drive module is structurally and operatively coupled to the frame structure of the canopy of the umbrella assembly to operate to open/extend or close/collapse the canopy between an opened configuration and a closed configuration, by varying the distance between the upper hub and the lower hub of the frame structure.

Abstract: A sensory seat having a seat portion, a support structure, and a plurality of connection members. The seat portion is suspended from the support structure, being held in suspense via the plurality of connection members. The connection members allow the seat portion to move multi-directionally relative to the support structure. The support structure is composed of two support members and may be outfitted to receive a footrest. The foot rest may be adjustable in height given multiple receiver slots cut into the support members.

Abstract: A sports equipment surface cleaning safety device is disclosed which serves the purpose of removal of materials, such as snow, ice or mud, from boot soles or other contacting surfaces of sports equipment through motions such as scraping or brushing. The device is intended to be integrated within, or mechanically mounted to a pole, such as a ski pole or trekking pole. It is constructed with materials such as plastics and/or metal, utilizing conventional methods of fabrication such as 3D printing, injection molding, gluing, casting, or machining.

Abstract: Force-independent release systems are disclosed. Releasable links are designed for use in connection with inflatable safety devices. Particular examples for use include evacuation slides and/or life rafts on board a passenger transportation vehicle, such as an aircraft or marine vessel, or any other inflatable safety device that requires a rapid inflation. In one example, the force-independent release system separates when a certain inflatable pressure is achieved. In another example, the force-independent release system separates at a certain predetermined time. It is possible for the force-independent release system to also include current force-dependent technology as a redundant backup.

A light stick is magnetically connected between the main hinge seat and the auxiliary hinge seat, four top rods are hinged to a middle part of an outer side of the main hinge seat; one end, away from the main hinge seat, of each of the four top rods is hinged to a connecting rod; one end, away from the top rod, of each of the four top rods is hinged to an upper connecting seat; bottoms of the four upper connecting seats are fixedly connected to supporting rods; each of the four supporting rods is slidably connected to a lower connecting seat; and each of the four lower connecting seats is hinged to a top cross rod.

Abstract: A pressurized welding enclosure is disclosed that features a magnetic latching mechanism to securely seal entry doors so as to prevent the emission of flammable debris during hot work operations. The main entry door may also incorporate a spark filter that allows air pressure equalization between the main welding enclosure and the airlock chamber, while still preventing the emission of flammable debris. The welding enclosure preferably utilizes an optical flame detector to monitor the hot work station for a reflash event after hot work operations have ceased, and an automated water deluge system may be used to extinguish any fire detected by the optical flame detector.

A towel hook is disclosed that secures to a stretcher of an umbrella allowing a towel to be secured to the hook portion of the towel hook to keep the towel dry when the umbrella is deployed during inclement weather.

Abstract: A walking cane formed from a golf club includes a club head serving as a base, a shaft extending from the club head and bent at an oblique angle, and a golf club grip installed on a proximal end of the shaft. The golf club grip projects laterally from the shaft and is configured to be gripped by a user and to receive and support a suspended load such as a bag or towel. A first rubber foot and a second rubber foot are attached to the club head and spaced apart from each other. The spacing between the rubber feet resists tipping of the walking cane due to a moment produced by the suspended load. A method of manufacturing includes bending the shaft of a golf club, installing a golf club grip, and attaching rubber feet to the club head.

Abstract: Disclosed are telescopic poles and tent frames having telescopic poles. A telescopic pole includes an inner tubular pole, an outer tubular pole, and a locking/unlocking mechanism to control relative movement of the inner and outer tubular poles. The locking/unlocking mechanism is operable between a locking state and an unlocking state. In the locking state, the locking/unlocking mechanism restricts the inner and outer tubular poles from moving toward each other but allows the inner and outer tubular poles to move away from each other. In the unlocking state, the locking/unlocking mechanism allows the inner and outer tubular poles to move toward as well as away from each other.

Abstract: A vented canopy system for an umbrella includes a trim attached to an outer edge of an umbrella support structure defining a central opening. A breathable support layer is disposed across the central opening. A plurality of layered canopy sections are positioned over the breathable support layer, where upper canopy sections partially overlap lower canopy sections. An inside edge of each canopy section is secured to the umbrella support structure. An outside edge of each canopy section includes a tether configured to permit the outside edge to move away from the breathable support layer in response to fluid pressure and prevent the canopy section from inverting, such that the canopy section returns to a baseline position upon a reduction in fluid pressure.
