  • Patent number: 11689691
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for evaluating and providing video signals of an event. A uniform time signal is assigned to recorded video signals of the event, and to captured camera parameters and metadata, after which the video signals are automatically evaluated in a data processing device on the basis of a user input. This way, a desired portion of the video signals can be provided to the user on the basis of the evaluation.

  • Patent number: 11670284
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for detecting dubbed speech in a media asset and receiving metadata corresponding to the media asset. The systems and methods may determine a plurality of scenes in the media asset based on the metadata, retrieve a portion of the dubbed speech corresponding to the first scene, and process the retrieved portion of the dubbed speech corresponding to the first scene to identify a speech characteristic of a character featured in the first scene. Further, the systems and methods may determine whether the speech characteristic of the character featured in the first scene matches the context of the first scene, and if the match fails, perform a function to adjust the portion of the dubbed speech so that the speech characteristic of the character featured in the first scene snatches the context of the first scene.

  • Patent number: 11651601
Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling a camera can involve automatically setting an exposure control for a camera based on data obtained from the camera and using a synchronized infrared flash for video recording by the camera with the exposure control automatically set for the camera. The exposure control can include a managed fixed exposure time controlled with automatic gain correction by the camera. The exposure time for the camera can be fixed. A gain can be monitored, and the exposure time adjusted when an average gain attains a maximum value or a minimum value with changes to ambient light.

  • Patent number: 11641444
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing interference between content play and video recording among multiple devices located proximate to each other. Microphones of devices recording video are muted, or content play is interrupted, according to the actions of a majority of nearby devices. For example, if most devices are recording video, content play may be interrupted to prevent the video from unintentionally recording unwanted sounds from play of the content. Conversely, if most devices are not recording video, only those devices which are may have their microphones muted. Actions to reduce interference may be taken according to the current behavior of a majority of proximate devices.

  • Patent number: 11636678
Abstract: A system and method are presented for recording audio and video of an individual within a kiosk on separate audio and video computers that are locally connected to the kiosk. Instructions are provided to the individual through a locally connected controller computer. A remote user computer requests recorded data from the kiosk. The controller computer prompts the audio and video computers to separately stream audio and video to the remote user computer. The controller computer divides the audio and video data into time segments, and then presents different versions of the session to different users, with each different version comprising a different set of time segments. A central system server provides searching capabilities to the user computer to search and request data from a plurality of remotely located kiosks, each having separate controller, audio, and video computers.

  • Patent number: 11631185
Abstract: A method for non-contact modal analysis uses an optical sensing device such as a video camera. Unlike traditional modal analysis, requiring accelerometers or force sensors to measure the modal characteristics of a structure, the inventive system uses pixel displacement measurements from the optical sensor to characterize the modal properties of the device under test. The input or reference signal is measured by an independent data acquisition system and is synchronized with the response motion captured in video recordings.

  • Patent number: 11621021
Abstract: A remapping space may define correspondence between times within a video and times within a time-remapped video. Responsive to user selection of a moment within the video for initiation of time remapping using a selected playback speed, a start point and an end point may be inserted at the selected moment within the remapping space. Responsive to user selection of a segment within the video to apply the selected playback speed in the time remapping, the start point and/or the end point may be moved to change the correspondence between times within the video and times within the time-remapped video.

  • Patent number: 11611724
Abstract: A management terminal manages a plurality of Self-Service Terminals (SSTs) for customer-assistance, transaction overrides, theft determinations, and transaction security audits. One or more overhead cameras stream real-time video of the transactions being processed at the SSTs to a server. Transaction data produced in real time at the SSTs are also provided to the server. The video is correlated with the transaction data and evaluated for security events. The video is also cached on the server. An operator of the management terminal can access a video review interface based on events and/or information visually gleaned by the operator during the transactions. The interface permits the operator to view a configured cached portion of the video captured for any given transaction to provide context to the operator for determining whether to perform or whether not to perform a transaction audit.

  • Patent number: 11610610
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting and correcting synchronization errors in multimedia content comprising a video stream and a non-original audio stream. Techniques for directly detecting synchronization of video and audio streams may be inadequate to detect synchronize errors for non-original audio streams, particularly where such non-original audio streams contain audio not reflective of events within the video stream, such as speaking dialog in a different language than the speakers of the video stream. To overcome this problem, the present disclosure enables synchronization of a non-original audio stream to another audio stream, such as an original audio stream, that is synchronized to the video stream. By comparison of signatures, the non-original and other audio stream are aligned to determine an offset that can be used to synchronize the non-original audio stream to the video stream.

  • Patent number: 11610606
Abstract: This disclosure describes one or more implementations of systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods that generate a temporally remapped video that satisfies a desired target duration while preserving natural video dynamics. In certain instances, the disclosed systems utilize a playback speed prediction machine-learning model that recognizes and localizes temporally varying changes in video playback speed to re-time a digital video with varying frame-change speeds. For instance, to re-time the digital video, the disclosed systems utilize the playback speed prediction machine-learning model to infer the slowness of individual video frames. Subsequently, in certain embodiments, the disclosed systems determine, from frames of a digital video, a temporal frame sub-sampling that is consistent with the slowness predictions and fit within a target video duration.

  • Patent number: 11596315
Abstract: A method for determining one or more vital signs of a person includes recording video images of a scene with an egocentric camera coupled to the person's body, detecting and magnifying image frame-to-image frame movements in the video images of the scene, representing the magnified image frame-to-image frame movements in the video images of the scene by a one-dimensional (1D) amplitude-versus-time series, and transforming the 1D amplitude-versus-time series representation into a frequency spectrum. The method further includes identifying one or more local frequency maxima in the frequency spectrum as corresponding to one or more vital signs of the person.

  • Patent number: 11574654
Abstract: In various examples, recordings of gameplay sessions are enhanced by the application of special effects to relatively high(er) and/or low(er) interest durations of the gameplay sessions. Durations of relatively high(er) or low(er) predicted interest in a gameplay session are identified, for instance, based upon level of activity engaged in by a gamer during a particular gameplay session duration. Once identified, different variations of video characteristic(s) are applied to at least a portion of the identified durations for implementation during playback. The recordings may be generated and/or played back in real-time with a live gameplay session, or after completion of the gameplay session. Further, video data of the recordings themselves may be modified to include the special effects and/or indications of the durations and/or variations may be included in metadata and used for playback.
