  • Patent number: 7628122
Abstract: Provided is a method for operating a non-condensing boiler at maximum non-condensation efficiency, and more particularly a method for operating a non-condensing boiler, capable of supplying an appropriate amount of excess air for combustion of a burner, avoiding damaging a heat exchanger due to the condensed water generated at the heat exchanger, and effectively improving the heat efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7600696
Abstract: A hot water supply system having a hot water supply system body. An operation box is inserted into a window opened in a front panel of the hot water supply system body, and a box cover having an opening to which an operation unit in a front center region of the operation box is fitted is mounted onto a front surface of the operation box. The box cover overhangs to an outside of an outline of the operation box and has a size making it possible to cover a gap between the operation box and the window from the front. A dent sized to corresponding to a size of the box cover is formed on a portion of the front panel, which includes a spot where the window is opened, and a backside corner portion of an outer edge of the box cover enters into the dent portion.

  • Patent number: 7600997
Abstract: In a method for increasing the throughput of packages of waste material of a high caloric value of rotary kiln plants which include a rotary tube with a combustion chamber and a post combustion chamber to which the combustion gases from the rotary tube are supplied and which includes at least one burner supplied by gas from a gas supply, the waste packages are supplied to the rotary tube and burned therein with oxygen containing gas and the combustion gas flows to the post combustion chamber for post combustion, the combustion process being continuously monitored in the kiln and the post combustion chamber and controlled by adjustment of the combustion conditions in the kiln and the post combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 7591434
Abstract: A hot water supply system includes: a casing 1 having an opening in a front face; a front panel 2 covering the front face of the casing; and a console box 7 attached to the casing. The front panel has a window into which the console box is to be fitted. The clearance between the window and the console box is eliminated to improve the appearance of the system, and it is provided that the front panel can be attached to the casing without problems. In order to eliminate the clearance between the window 20 and the console box 7, the window 20 has a size enough for the console box 7 to be tightly fitted therein. In order that the console box 7 fitted in the window 20 can move vertically and horizontally together with the front panel 2, a support plate 8 for the console box 7 is attached to the casing 1 with a vertical and a horizontal play.

  • Patent number: 7578265
Abstract: A gas temperature control system for maintaining a desired economizer outlet gas temperature across a range of boiler loads comprises a plurality of tubular configurations having surfaces that are in contact with the flue gas. Each tubular configuration, preferably, comprises a plurality of serpentine or stringer tubes arranged horizontally or vertically back and forth within the economizer, and each tubular configuration having a separate feedwater inlet. Heat transfer from the flue gas is accomplished by controlling the feedwater flow rates through the tubular configurations. In a temperature control system having two tubular configurations, the overall heat transfer capacity of the economizer may be reduced to maintain the desired economizer outlet gas temperature during low boiler loads by reducing feedwater flow through one tubular configuration and by overflowing the other tubular configuration, such that total flow of feedwater through the economizer is maintained substantially constant.

  • Patent number: 7549400
Abstract: A method of heating process streams fed to a boiler incorporating an oxygen transport membrane device that includes an oxygen-containing stream and a boiler feed water stream. The membrane device separates oxygen to support combustion of a fuel and generate heat to raise the steam. Heat is recovered and process streams are heated by separately heating portions of the oxygen-containing stream and the boiler feed water stream with a retentate stream produced from the oxygen separation and a flue gas stream generated from the combustion. The flow rate of the portion of the oxygen-containing stream heated by the retentate stream is greater than that heated by the flue gas stream to help minimize heat transfer area and thus, fabrication costs. Also, water is condensed from the flue gas stream during the heat exchange involved in the heat recovery to increase thermodynamic efficiency.
