    Abstract: A processing indicating device to improve the efficiency of processing on an object. The device includes a first communication unit which communicates information with a plurality of processing devices for processing the object and a second communication unit which communicates information with a conveyance controlling device controlling conveying of the object to the plurality of processing devices. An arrival time predicting unit predicts on the basis of information received by the second communication unit, the time when the conveying device arrives at one of the processing devices. In addition, a finish time predicting unit receives information and predicts the time when the processing on the object in the one processing device finishes. A processing indicating unit causes processing control information that orders the execution of device state improvement treatment to be transmitted to the one processing device on the basis of the predicted respective times.

    Abstract: Robustly stabilizing controller bandwidth for a controlled mechanical system is determined as a function of the system's estimated inertia and dominant system parameters that define constraints on the bandwidth. In one or more embodiments, a bandwidth model is derived that defines a relationship between robustly stabilizing controller bandwidth and system gain over a range of reasonable system uncertainties. Using the model, a suitable controller bandwidth can be determined for a given motion control system given only estimates of the system gain and the dominant parameters(s) that constrain the bandwidth. In an example two-inertia system, the system gain and dominant parameter can comprise system inertia and mechanical coupling stiffness, respectively. Accordingly, estimates of the system inertia and coupling stiffness can be provided to the system, which determines a suitable controller bandwidth for the motion control system characterized by the estimates.

The controller uses a cell counting technique for finding the best matching reference spectrum. The controller determines at least one of a polishing endpoint or an adjustment for a polishing rate based on the sequence of best matching reference spectra.
