The pocket may be accessible at the top of the cushion and may be adapted to retain a portable electronic device. As non-limiting examples, the portable electronic device may be a smartphone, a tablet computer, a game controller, or a TV remote control. The pocket may be sized to permit the portable electronic device to stand upright such that the portable electronic device may remain visible while residing in the pocket.

Abstract: A system and a method for managing patient therapy protocols are disclosed. The system includes a patient support apparatus for supporting a patient, a first input device for use by a first caregiver, a location system for determining a location of the first caregiver, and a therapy management system. The therapy management system receives a location of the first caregiver and a selection of a patient therapy protocol, which includes a location requirement. The therapy management system then determines whether the first caregiver location input signal satisfies the location requirement before initiating the selected patient therapy protocol or notifying a second caregiver if the location of the first caregiver does not satisfy the location requirement.

Abstract: An inflatable bed is provided including an upper sheet, a lower sheet, a lateral confining sheet and a first internal sheet. The lateral confining sheet connects the upper sheet and the lower sheet to define an inflatable chamber. The upper sheet has a planar portion and an oblique portion. The planar portion of the upper sheet is connected to the lower sheet by means of the first internal sheet. The lateral confining sheet comprises a circumferential portion and an extension portion extending upward along an end of the circumferential portion. The extension portion and the oblique portion of the upper sheet are connected to form a backrest of the inflatable bed, and the backrest is internally provided with a second internal sheet which is used for connecting the oblique portion of the upper sheet to the extension portion of the lateral confining sheet.

Abstract: A system for changing width of a person support apparatus is disclosed. A person support apparatus comprises at least one deck extension which is configured to be retracted or extended by at least one motor controlled by a bed controller. A mattress controller communicates with a bed controller and controls a fluid supply device to inflate or deflate a mattress supported by the person support apparatus to alter the width of the mattress. The mattress may also be inflated or deflated in response to manual extension or retraction of the deck extension.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a hammock for a user to rest thereon in the water of the spa. The hammock may include a proximal end with head support portion and one or more attachment means for connection to an anchor on the spa shell, and a distal end with one or more attachment means for connection to an anchor on the spa shell. One or more lateral coupling members may couple the hammock to the lateral sides of the spa, and one or more longitudinal coupling members may couple the hammock to a front side and/or back side of the spa. The longitudinal and lateral coupling members may support the hammock in the water to give the user a unique flotation experience.

Abstract: A pad assembly for an occupant platform having rails. The pad assembly includes a foam pad comprising an outward portion that covers an outward face of one rail and a top portion that covers a top end of the one rail. The pad assembly also includes an inner casing that encases and is attached to the foam pad and an outer cover that covers the inner casing. The outer cover has a fastener for securing the pad assembly to the one rail.

Abstract: A User Configurable Mattress System and Method for Customizing and Repairing the Same comprising a support cored assembly, a foam assembly, and a covering assembly. The support core assembly is preferably comprised of a high resiliency foam portion, which may include one or more layers of high resiliency foam, and preferably has a thickness between 3 and 12 inches. The foam assembly further is preferably comprised of a first layer of latex foam and a second layer of gel foam. The first layer of latex foam is positioned on top of the second layer of gel foam for users who desire a firmer mattress, the second layer of gel foam is positioned on top of the first layer of latex foam for users who desire a softer mattress. The covering assembly substantially envelopes the support core assembly and the foam assembly, and is selectively removable.

Horizontal frame supports or arms are coupled to support T-brackets which are installed where desired on the vertical frame reinforcements. The vertical frame reinforcements are secured where desired to the wall frame via top and bottom L-shaped frame brackets. The horizontal frame supports are longitudinally elongate and include support trusses extending and coupled therebetween to support an assembly (e.g., a bed assembly including at least a mattress with a platform or a box spring). For example, there may be six trusses for a parallel arrangement and eight trusses for a perpendicular arrangement.

Abstract: An aircraft berth includes a bowed slat surface; the bowed slats provide a degree of cushioning apart from a foam mattress. The bowed slats are held in deformable brackets that allow the bowed slats to expand laterally as they are compressed vertically, and allow a degree of twisting of individual bowed slats. The bowed slats may be placed in a berth frame with greater or lesser density along the length of the berth frame to provide more or less support at particular locations. Alternatively, or in addition, bowed slats with greater cross-sectional thickness may be used were more support is desirable. The bowed slats may be organized in sub-frames that may be oriented to provide head and/or knee support.

Abstract: A fluid source comprises a connector assembly for connecting a fluid supply device to either a first therapy device or to a second therapy device. A controller automatically provides a first configuration of a user interface associated with a first therapy when a supply connector is operatively coupled to the first therapy device and provides a second configuration of the user interface associated with a second therapy, different than the first configuration, when the supply connector is operatively coupled to the second therapy device. A hanger assembly is provided to hang the fluid source on different support structures. The fluid source also comprises a housing with a watershed region to shed liquid away from the user interface.

Abstract: A bedding securement system includes a first bedding layer configured to be disposed over a mattress and a flexible base layer configured to be secured under the mattress. The first bedding layer includes a top end, a bottom end, and a plurality of first fasteners disposed along the bottom end. Likewise, the flexible base layer includes a top end, a bottom end, and a plurality of anchoring fasteners disposed along the bottom end. The plurality of anchoring fasteners of the flexible base layer are configured to couple to the plurality of first fasteners of the first bedding layer so as to limit movement of the first bedding layer with respect to the mattress.
