  • Patent number: 10462419
Abstract: A CATV & MoCA splitter has an input and at least one output that is “CATV & MoCA” and at least one output that is “MoCA only.” The splitter functions as a building block to provide a customizable installation that supplies the needed number of “CATV & MoCA” outputs and the needed number of “MoCA only” outputs. The splitter includes a housing with first, second and third coaxial ports attached to the housing. In one embodiment, the second coaxial port is connected to the first coaxial port via a power divider so that all frequencies presented to the first coaxial port can pass to the second coaxial port, and vice versa. A high pass filter, which passes only MoCA signals, connects the power divider and third coaxial port.

  • Patent number: 10388132
Abstract: Systems and methods for surveillance-assisted patrol. One system includes an image capture device associated with a location, a patrol object, and a server communicatively coupled to the image capture device and the patrol object. The server includes an electronic processor configured to receive geolocation data for the patrol object. The electronic processor determines, based on the data, whether the patrol object is within a predetermined distance from the location, and, in response to determining that the patrol object is within the predetermined distance, captures a reference image of the location via the image capture device. The electronic processor accesses a second image corresponding to the location, captured at a different time than the reference image. The electronic processor compares the reference image to the second image to determine a difference. The electronic processor, in response to determining the difference, transmits, via the transceiver, a patrol alert to an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10380745
Abstract: A method and corresponding apparatus for measuring object motion using camera images may include measuring a global optical flow field of a scene. The scene may include target and reference objects captured in an image sequence. Motion of a camera used to capture the image sequence may be determined relative to the scene by measuring an apparent, sub-pixel motion of the reference object with respect to an imaging plane of the camera. Motion of the target object corrected for the camera motion may be calculated based on the optical flow field of the scene and on the apparent, sub-pixel motion of the reference object with respect to the imaging plane of the camera. Embodiments may enable measuring vibration of structures and objects from long distance in relatively uncontrolled settings, with or without accelerometers, with high signal-to-noise ratios.

  • Patent number: 10341682
Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed for panoramic video coding and decoding based on multi-mode boundary fill. If a predicted image block of a current image block is obtained by inter-frame prediction. The inter-frame prediction includes a boundary fill step of adaptively selecting a boundary fill method according to coordinates of a reference sample when the reference sample of a pixel in the current image block is outside the boundary of a corresponding reference image, to obtain a sample value of the reference sample. The panoramic video encoding and decoding method and device based on multi-mode boundary fill in the present invention make full use of the characteristic that horizontal image contents in a panoramic video are cyclically connected to optimize an image boundary fill method, such that the encoding can adaptively select a more reasonable boundary fill method according to the coordinates of a reference sample, thereby improving compression efficiency.
