  • Patent number: 11614175
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a hydraulically controlled pressure relief valve without needing a hydraulic power unit. The valve maintains the accuracy of a hydraulically controlled valve by providing a self-contained closed hydraulic system built into the pressure relief valve. For safety, the valve can be kept open to call attention to the cause of the pressure relief valve activation, yet be easily reinstated into full service without replacing expendable components such as shear pins and rupture pins. The invention offers a pressure relief valve with accuracy, cost, and ease of use.

  • Patent number: 11604038
Abstract: A heat exchange plug that plugs the aperture of a tubesheet with a leaking tube while also securing the tube against movement that could damage other tubes of the tubesheet. A cylindrical housing member with two different diameter body section can be inserted so that the wider diameter section is positioned in the aperture of the tubesheet and the smaller diameter section is located in the tube. An eccentric ring at the end of the housing member can engage the tube and prevent rotation as an insert member is advanced into the rear of the housing member via a threaded shank of the insert member that engages a threaded inner bore of the housing member. A ramped surface of the housing member deforms the wall of the larger diameter section of the housing member outwardly to plug the aperture while the smaller diameter section secures the tube in place.

  • Patent number: 11598436
Abstract: A safety valve is configured for use at temperatures at or above 760° C. (1400° F.). The safety valve includes a closure assembly that can create a self-energizing, metal-to-metal seal. In one implementation, this closure assembly includes a disc with an arcuate finger that circumscribes an axis of fluid flow through a seat. The arcuate finger may extend inwardly toward this axis and downwardly toward the seat. This geometry permits the finger to flex in response to pressure of fluid that impinges on the downstream side of the disc, such flexure causing a first sealing surface on the disc to more forcefully contact a second sealing surface on a seat.

  • Patent number: 11565556
Abstract: A tire valve assembly includes a stem and a valve unit. The valve unit includes a movable part and a seal member. When introducing pressurized air into the tire valve assembly, the valve unit moves to a position in the stem to allow the pressurized air to flow into the tire. When the pressurized air is stopped from entering the tire valve assembly, the valve unit is pushed back by the pressure in the tire to seal the inlet so that the pressurized air in the tire does not leak to keep the tire pressure.
