  • Patent number: 4114046
Abstract: This invention concerns an improved turbo-electrical generator powered by the conversion of natural energy into mechanical energy in order to propel ferromagnetic blocks about an irregularly, non-circular shaped closed loop track, alternately entering and passing through a plurality of electromagnets positioned about the track. As these blocks enter and pass through these electromagnets, their magnetic flux is maximized and then minimized and this change is converted into useable A.C. voltage. Means are taught for the conversion of solar energy, wind energy and wave energy into the necessary mechanical energy to propel these blocks about the closed loop. An alternative embodiment employs a rotatable, ferromagnetic cross shaped device which is rotated about a center axis by the passage of the blocks about the track. As the device is rotated, its extremities enter and pass through the electromagnets positioned about the track.

  • Patent number: 4114074
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for electronic direction control of trolling motors for maneuvering boats. The device includes a power supply, a steering mechanism including a motor for altering the direction of the trolling motor thrust, a direction control for generating a signal proportional to the desired direction of trolling motor thrust, and a direction sensor for generating a signal proportional to the actual direction of trolling motor thrust. Two electronic circuits are provided to process the desired and actual direction signals. The first circuit provides a pulse width modulated output signal which variably controls the angular velocity of the steering mechanism by controlling the operational state of a switching circuit having at least one transistor and thereby controlling the flow of current to the steering motor.

  • Patent number: 4114076
Abstract: Control system for a motor having a shunt field winding is disclosed. In an electric vehicle, when an accelerator pedal is stepped on at the start, a field current is increased to increase the rotational speed of the motor in accordance with the stepped angle of the pedal. In the operating region where the rotational speed of the motor is not increased in accordance with the increase of the field current, an armature current is in turn increased and inversely the field current is decreased in order to further increase its rotational speed. Thus, an impact at the start can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4113066
Abstract: A control circuit for allotting hall calls to elevator cars in an elevator car system, having a generator for generating a scanning signal consisting of scanning pulses. A hall call detector receives the scanning signal and generates a signal indicating the floor at which a hall call occurs. Elevator car detectors are provided, each of which receives the scanning signal and generates a signal indicating the position of the corresponding elevator cars. A memory circuit determines the serving areas of the respective elevator cars according to the signals from the elevator car detectors. An allotting circuit allots the signals from the hall call detector to the elevator car according to the area determined by the memory circuit.

  • Patent number: 4111284
Abstract: An elevator system with an asynchronous-synchronous interface between the system processor and each car controller. Each interface includes a serially accessed memory which intermittently receives command words from the system processor. The serially accessed memory repetitively reads out the commands to the car controller, and updates the commands in response to a new data word without interrupting the flow of data to the car controller. Each interface utilizes internal logic and timing for controlling its serially accessed memory, thus relaxing the memory capacity and processing speed requirements of the system processor.

  • Patent number: 4111090
Abstract: A noise suppression circuit for digital tone generator in which a table of digitized data points are converted at a rate controlled by the fundamental frequency of the tone being generated. The suppression circuit determines the difference between each pair of successive data points and increments the prior data point in a succession of equal intermediate steps proportional to said difference. The data points together with the succession of incremented values between said data points are converted by a digital-to-analog converter at a converter rate equal to or greater than the maximum rate at which each data point is incremented.
