  • Patent number: 9590954
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer readable media for transferring encrypted and unencrypted data between processing devices are disclosed. Example data transmission methods disclosed herein include dividing, at a first processing device, a set of data collected at the first processing device into a first unencrypted data subset and a second unencrypted data subset. Disclosed example methods also include encrypting, at the first processing device, the first unencrypted data subset using an encryption key provided by a second processing device to generate a first encrypted data subset. Disclosed example methods further include transmitting the second unencrypted data subset from the first processing device to the second processing device before transmitting the first encrypted data subset from the first processing device to the second processing device to thereby transmit the set of data from the first processing device to the second processing device.

  • Patent number: 9558636
Abstract: A bank server allows a user of one ATM to reserve cash at another, nearby ATM when the first ATM has an inadequate cash inventory to serve the user's requested transaction. The user attempts to withdraw cash from the first ATM, but the first ATM has insufficient cash to perform the withdrawal transaction. Through the first ATM, the bank server offers the user a cash reservation at the other ATM. The bank server causes the other ATM to reserve a requested amount of cash for the user, possibly refusing to dispense cash to other users if doing so would leave the other ATM with insufficient cash to dispense the reserved cash. The user travels a short distance to the other ATM and withdraws the reserved cash. In effect, the other ATM can now perform the withdrawal transaction requested of the first ATM when the first ATM couldn't.

  • Patent number: 9552482
Abstract: By comparing a chip unique password, certification for activating a debug function can be established on the chip unique password. Thus, even when the chip unique password is lost due to negligence, not only certification for activating debugging on other motherboards of the same model number can remain unaffected, but also risks caused by replacing a chip or by a private key leakage from a system manufacturer are eliminated.

  • Patent number: 9467286
Abstract: An encryption device generates non-commutative matrices A1, A2 based on private data A and prime numbers p1, p2, and operates the non-commutative matrices A1, A2 on vectors vi1, vi?12. The encryption device performs non-linear transformation to transform the vectors vi1, vi2 into bit sequences, and joins these to the bit sequences W1, W2. The encryption device repeats the operation of the non-convertible matrices and the non-linear transformation until the respective numbers of bits of the bit sequence W1 and the bit sequence W2 have reached a number of bits of a bit sequence expressing encryption target data. The encryption device derives a pseudo-random number bit sequence by computing the exclusive logical sum between the bit sequence W1 and the bit sequence W2, and performs encryption using the pseudo-random number bit sequence.

  • Patent number: 9467414
Abstract: In one embodiment, a request to create a note is received from a first user. The note includes a message and a first location of the first user. A note record is created of the message, the first location, and a first user-interest associated with the first user. A number of second users are identified based on second locations of the second users, and second user-interests associated with the second users. The message is sent to the identified second users. In response to sending the message, the current location of the first user is determined compared to the first location. If the first user is within a predetermined distance from the first location, a notification is sent to the first user indicating that the message has been sent to the second users.
