  • Patent number: 6848124
Abstract: A recessed incrementally rotating nozzle assembly is located in a wall or bottom surface of a swimming pool in fluid communication through a conduit with a source of water under pressure from a valve, which valve periodically releases water into the conduit. Each time water flows, a nozzle housing is raised to eject a stream of water. As the nozzle housing rises, it is incrementally rotated by a pin engaging a saw tooth member of a cam ring. Upon cessation of flow, the nozzle housing is retracted and during retraction the nozzle housing is further incrementally rotated by the pin engaging another saw tooth member of the cam ring. After a predetermined degree of angular rotation, a cam reverser slidably reorients protrusions guiding the pin into and out of the saw tooth members to cause the pin to be guided by the opposite side of the saw tooth members and thereby cause reversal of the direction of rotation of the nozzle housing.

  • Patent number: 6823532
Abstract: A malodor control system for a toilet comprises a modified toilet seat which is a hollow construction. The seat may be mounted on supports for pivotal movement between an up position and down position in which its opening is registered with the opening of an toilet bowl for receiving products of human waste. As in conventional toilets, portions of a person sitting on the seat define a chamber, in combination with the seat and the bowl. A pair of water spray nozzles are disposed within the hollow seat and directed rearwardly toward the pivotal mounting for the seat. A water supply system includes a flexible tube connection between a fixed source of pressurized water and a bracket for pivotally mounting the seat. Flow of water to the spray nozzles is controlled by a valve on the rear of the seat. The water spray induces flow of fouled air from the user defined chamber into the hollow seat where offensive odors are removed by the water spray.

  • Patent number: 6802084
Abstract: A leak detection and reporting system for detecting and reporting different types of leaks. Different alarms are activated in response to different types of leaks. The present invention includes a timing module and a water flow sensor. The timing module measures a standard fill time required to properly fill a reservoir. A lower time threshold and an upper time threshold are then calculated based upon the standard fill time. A first alarm may be activated if a subsequent fill time is below the lower time threshold to identify a small leak. Also, a second alarm may be activated if a subsequent fill time is above the upper time threshold to identify a larger leak.
