Abstract: The attachment system connects power lines on at least one base plate formed of a flexible strip. The base plate has a pattern of holes passing all the way through the base plate. These holes form rows extending at least partially parallel to one another and assuming a predetermined spacing from one another. The attachment system also has attachable/detachable elements on the base plate, each of which has a main body for receiving at least one power line and a first type of pedestal for stationary engagement in the holes. The plastic strips is 0.5 to 5 mm thick. Instead of plastic, the strip can be steel with a 0.1 to 0.5 mm thickness. At least in some of the rows of holes, the sum of the hole dimensions in each such row, under bending stress along each such row, form a definite kink point.

Abstract: An adjustable leg assembly includes a vertical tubular support radially pivotally connected with a plurality of legs by a connector, in which a positioning pin having two end portions protruding sidewardly beyond two slots radially formed in two bifurcate plates formed in each forked joint secured on an inner end of each leg, and is adjustably resiliently engageable with any one recess of a plurality of positioning recesses formed in an arcuate cam portion of an arcuate lug radially formed on the connector so that each positioning pin can be symmetrically pulled or actuated by a user's fingers for conveniently adjusting a height of each leg of the vertical support.

Abstract: A unitary shelf bracket for mounting to vertically spaced holes in a vertical side member to support the ends of a shelf wherein the bracket is self-adjusting and shelf-locking. The bracket is formed of a tough resiliently flexible plastic and has a backplate portion having front and back surfaces and a shelf support member extending horizontally outward normal to the front surface adjacent a bottom end thereof. There is a first peg lying on a centerline of the backplate portion, sized to fit into the holes, and extending outward normal to the back surface adjacent a top end thereof. There is also a second peg similar to the first to fit into another adjacent hole. A plurality of first fingers extend downward from adjacent the top end of the backplate at an acute angle thereto and terminate in respective bottom edges parallel to the shelf support member at different spaced distances therefrom. A pair of upward tilted second fingers are disposed at respective side edges of the shelf support member.

Abstract: A copy holder having a slotted beam sized to accommodate paper copy has locking means in the form of a cylindrical bearing held partially within the slot of the beam to provide weighted pressure against paper held within the slot. A paper back support is hinged to the slotted beam which is pivotally mounted to a support bracket which is slidably received in a mounting bracket secured to a monitor or other object.

Abstract: Apparatus for supporting energized conductors while repair work is being done on insulators or to a utility pole whereby work can be performed expediently without interrupting the power being supplied to consumers. The invention includes a longitudinal beam with conductor supports mounted thereto. The present invention is designed to be supported from above and to dangle downwards while supporting the conductors. It is also advisable to provide the invention with a lower attachment to steady the beam. The apparatus is adaptable to any phase spacing of vertical conductors. The apparatus can also hold horizontal bundled conductors with some modifications to the support brackets.

Abstract: A device for swivelling a utensil receptacle for kitchen utensils or the like in parallel with a parallelogram linkage is provided with a cam, and a spring-loaded roller is fitted on the cam of the parallelogram linkage so that the weight of the utensil receptacle, and possibly a kitchen utensil, is offset to the degree desired and preferably substantially equalized, depending on the swivelling angle.

Abstract: A paint brush holder to be attached to a paint can. The holder is an open topped container having an inner wall to conform to the outer surface of the paint can. The holder is suspended from the paint can. A brush scraper is attached to the open topped container to extend downwardly into the paint can. Projections on the brush scraper allow the removal of paint from a brush moved across the projections. The scraper may be removably attached to the open topped container or may be formed integrally with that container.

Abstract: A modular member for forming a base support mount for a machine and the like, comprises a box-like member having a top wall and connected first, second, third and fourth side walls and an open bottom; the first and second side walls being adjacent and identical to each other; the third and fourth side walls being adjacent and identical to each other; the first and second walls each including at least one longitudinal T-shaped projection disposed outwardly from the respective wall; the projection having a top end portion disposed below the top wall; the third and fourth walls each including at least one complementary recess disposed inwardly from the respective wall and adapted to slidingly interlock with a corresponding projection on an adjacent member; the recess having an end wall for engaging the corresponding top end portion of the projection; and the member including a plurality of reinforcing ribs disposed within the member and operably secured to the top wall and the side walls.

Abstract: A plumb bob support adapted for use by pipe fitters by which the plumb bob can be quickly and accurately suspended from a pipe or similar cylindrical object with the plumb bob being aligned with the center of the pipe thereby enabling the plumb bob to accurately indicate a center point of the pipe on a surface below the pipe. The support includes a pair of elongated, arcuate arms generally in the form of a caliper used for measuring outside diameters of pipes and the like with pipe engaging clips or jaws mounted on the facing ends of the arms by a universal ball and socket connection. The arms are pivotally connected and include a swivelly mounted hook to which the plumb bob can be connected. The arms also include laterally extending pins on which a bubble level can be supported to accurately position the pipe engaging clips in horizontal alignment thereby assuring that the hook and thus the plumb bob will be accurately aligned with the center line of the pipe.

Abstract: A securing structure is used in securing a plurality of pipes of comparatively small diameter together. With each pipe having a flat surface portion in a straight section thereo, a bracket body is injection-molded from thermoplastic resin such that the flat surface portion and its vicinity of each pipe are embedded in the bracket body.

Abstract: A wrist and forearm support apparatus for use at a desk or table to prevent overuse of the forearm muscles and to prevent nerve compression at the wrist of individuals performing typing or other keying activities. The wrist and forearm support apparatus comprises a cushioned wrist support member having a pair of cushioned armrest members pivotably connected thereto for adjustment to angular positions providing optimal support for an individual user, and a clamping mechanism disposed at forward ends of the armrest support members for attaching the wrist support member and the armrest as a unitary structure to an edge of the table.

Abstract: A wall fixture includes a post, a disc member, a cover plate and a locking piece. The post has a top end with a recessed hole and a bottom end with threaded socket. The disc member has a recessed groove formed therein. The recessed groove has a central protrusion portion extending upward of the same. A through-hole is formed in the protrusion portion. Two pairs of holes are provided on the plate member. One pair of the holes is specially designed to have a narrow portion and a large portion. A cover plate with a second rectangular hole therein, is provided on the disc member. When the post is mounted on the cover plate, the socket in the bottom end of the post, and both rectangular holes (of the cover plate and the disc member) are aligned.

Abstract: A drink container stabilizing device which normally rests upon a relatively horizontal surface for releasably holding various sized drink containers. One or more biased members, each of which are secured to the inner surface of a frame, releasably hold various sized drink containers within the frame's interior region. The frame has a top end and a bottom end which rests upon the relatively horizontal surface when the drink container stabilizing device is in a resting position. A retaining member may be used to further secure the one or more biased members proximate the top end of the frame, and a base plate may be attached to the bottom end of the frame so as to provide an underlying support for a drink container should the device be raised from its resting position. The base plate may further serve to secure the one or more biased members proximate to the bottom end of the frame.

The greater stiffnesses are produced either by loading columns in tension or compression or by bending a rectangular column along its narrow, higher moment of inertia face.

Abstract: A mount for a support bracket for a mirror or like structure includes a base member adapted to be mounted to a vehicle and a cover member adapted to sandwich a leg of the support bracket against the base member. A rubberized sleeve is inserted over the support bracket leg to increase the resistance to rotation of the support bracket within the mount. Alternatively, strips or bands of friction increasing material may be used in place of the sleeve to increase resistance to rotation.

Abstract: An article holder utilizing magnetostatic interaction includes a plastic mounting block having an embedded magnetic core. Access to a contact surface of the magnetic core is provided by a bore extending internally from a face of the block. A magnetically attractable disc is attachable to a distal end of an elongate article and is further insertable within the bore for magnetic retention in a suspended storage mode. A counting module includes a matrix of openings for receiving a pin member which is hand positionable within one of said openings for denoting a particular occurrence.

Abstract: A holder for detachably mounting a receptacle, such as a paint can, to a ladder has a generally L-shaped body having a foot portion and a back portion. The back portion is connected to a U-shaped curved portion and extension portion which form a hook for attaching the holder to a first rung of the ladder. The foot portion is connected to a front portion and rests on a second rung beneath the first rung of the ladder. A pivotable restraint member is attached to the back portion. This restraint member encloses the receptacle when it is resting on the foot portion in order to hold the receptacle on the holder. This holder can easily and quickly be mounted to the ladder. A top opening in the receptacle is easily accessed when using the holder. The restraint member is pivotable so that the holder can fold flat for transport and storage.

Abstract: Motor vehicle dashboard comprising, from the front to the rear, an instrut panel, a raised portion pierced with windows displaying measuring and counting instrument dials, the raised portion receiving a window interposed between it and the instrument panel, the measuring and counting instruments, a case and an electric circuit support. The raised portion comprises, projecting rearward, pins for positioning the instruments which cooperate with complementary holes provided on the instruments. The instruments and the case are fixed respectively to the case and to the raised portion.

Abstract: A whole house, direct drive fan is disclosed wherein the fan motor is secured directly to a single joist by means of a motor mounting bracket. A venturi housing is separately secured directly to the joist on which the fan motor is mounted.

Abstract: An arm rest assembly is usable with a mouse pad or keyboard and provides vertical support for a user's arm to avoid fatigue and injury. The assembly has at least one forearm cradle and a thin profile which allows a mouse or digitizer pad to be placed on an assembly platen or to insert the assembly under a keyboard and support both forearms of the using while striking the keys of the keyboard with both hands. The assembly further includes a detachable slide which is pivotable and, at the same time, allows linear movement of the arm toward and away from the assembly. An interchangeable cradle for the user's forearm has springs to counteract the arm weight and to make the cradle stable in the horizontal position while permitting some tilting.
