  • Patent number: 4840143
Abstract: A storage and dispensing apparatus for dry or liquid pet food of the type including a serving tray and a generally cylindrical storage container detachably secured to the tray so as to extend axially thereabove. The tray is provided with a generally circular opening for receiving the bottom of the storage container, and a flange projects radially into the opening. The flange is interrupted over a predetermined circumferential arc. The bottom of the storage container has a skirt portion that flairs downwardly and outwardly and has an outside diameter which is larger than the inside diameter of the interrupted flange. On the flaired skirt, a pair of diametrically opposed lugs project radially outwardly and each lug has a circumferential dimension which is smaller than the circumferential extent of the interruption in the tray flange. Immediately above the flaired skirt there is provided a downwardly facing annular seat.

  • Patent number: 4834653
Abstract: A dental instrument is described by which a tooth file is automatically driven by a driver for producing alternating movement forces in the axial direction of a tool support bearing the file to a predetermined axial limit position in each direction, the distance between these limit positions being such that the instrument tool support is able to take an axial position in which it is unaffected by those movement forces. The movement forces affect the tool support only when it is moved from the unaffected axial position by an external force exerted on it and then by only the one of the forces acting in the axial direction opposite to the external force. External forces in each direction are able to move the tool support up to a predetermined maximum amplitude of action.

  • Patent number: 4832601
Abstract: The adjustable support for a prosthetic tooth includes an abutment member having an opening for reception of a bolt member that engages with a nut member. The abutment member is sandwiched between a head portion of the bolt member and an enlarged collar portion of the nut member. The engaging surfaces between the head portion and the abutment member and between the abutment member and the enlarged collar portion of the nut member are of complementary shape with respect to each other to permit pivotal adjustment of the abutment member with respect to the bolt and nut members. The abutment member is thus pivoted to a desired position and the bolt and nut members are tightened to lock the abutment member in the desired position. A prosthetic tooth having an opening of complementary shape with respect to the abutment member engages the abutment member to assume the angular orientation of the abutment member.
