  • Patent number: 9444715
Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems for providing and enforcing scalable federated policies for network-provided flow-based performance metrics. Due to different security concerns related to different domains, varying group policies can be applied to different domains to ensure proper sharing and receipt of flow-based performance metrics. Some policies can limit the type of performance metric being shared among the nodes in the domain. Some policies allow less information to be exposed by specifying aggregated performance metrics to be shared among the nodes in the domain. A group key management infrastructure can be provided to enforce these group policies in the network in a scalable manner.

  • Patent number: 9438534
Abstract: A method for data set migration, implemented in a network device is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request at a network device to migrate a data set, and sending a signaling packet from a first data center toward a first in a series of circuit switching devices to reach a second data center, where the signaling packet includes metadata containing transmission selection and characteristics of the data set, where the signaling packet is processed through the series, each of which configures its forwarding path based at least on the metadata of the signaling packet. The method continues with waiting for a period long enough to allow each of the series to configure its forwarding path, where that circuit switching device releases the configured forwarding path after the migration duration. The method continues with sending the data set following the transmission selection of the signaling packet after the period expires.

  • Patent number: 9439181
Abstract: According to the present invention, even when the ratio between uplink subframes and downlink subframes is changed in each component carrier in TDD carrier aggregation, it is still possible to prevent a decrease in capacity. With the radio communication method according to the present invention, a radio base station apparatus generates a downlink control channel signal containing downlink control information including carrier indicator field information, and transmits the downlink control channel signal to a user terminal, and the user terminal receives the downlink control channel signal, and executes signal processing with respect to the downlink signal in accordance with the downlink control information. In this case, the carrier indicator field information is information which associates a carrier index and the index of a secondary cell subframe to be scheduled.

  • Patent number: 9426773
Abstract: Improved methods and apparatus are described for adaptively adjusting a node power level in a wireless node network having a plurality of nodes and a server. In one method, the server is operative to fix an output power setting on a first node (such as an ID node or master node) to a first power level when the first node is located in a first area. The first power level corresponds to a density of the nodes operating within the first area. The server then detects if the first node has moved to a second area. When the first node is detected as being in the second area, the server adapts the output power setting on the first node to a second power level. The second power level corresponds and relates to a density of the nodes operating within the second area.

  • Patent number: 9402231
Abstract: A first wireless device and a second wireless device are each capable of communicating using multiple MAC protocols. The first wireless device sets a first receiver to a power savings mode, the first receiver designed to operate according to a first MAC protocol. The first wireless device then receives, from the second wireless device, an indication on a second receiver corresponding to a second MAC protocol that data is available to be transmitted to the first wireless device from the second wireless device. In response to receipt of the indication, the first wireless sets the first receiver to an active mode, and receives the data from the second wireless device using the first receiver operating in accordance with the first MAC protocol. The second receiver consumes less power than the first receiver. Reduction of power consumption in the first wireless device may be achieved.
