Abstract: The present invention provides a production method of a crosslinkable polymer material which includes adding 2 -(glycidyloxy)-1-naphthonitrile oxide or 2-[5 -(ethoxycarbonyl)pentyloxy]-1-naphthonitrile oxide by an addition reaction to a polymer material having a multiple bond to which a nitrile oxide is added by an addition reaction so as to introduce a glycidyl group or an ethoxycarbonyl group into the polymer material.

Abstract: The instant invention provides rotational molded articles, and method of making the same. Abstract: The instant invention is a polyethylene composition, method of producing the same, articles made therefrom, and method of making the same. The polyethylene composition according to the instant invention comprises (1) less than or equal to 100 percent by weight of the units derived from ethylene; and (2) less than 15 percent by weight of units derived from one or more ?-olefin comonomers. Abstract: A coupled copolymer is provided. Abstract: The present invention provides a polymerization process which is conducted by contacting an olefin monomer and at least one olefin comonomer in the presence of hydrogen and a metallocene-based catalyst composition. Polymers produced from the polymerization process are also provided, and these polymers have a reverse comonomer distribution, low levels of long chain branches, and a ratio of Mw/Mn from about 3 to about 6.

Abstract: A process for preparing, in one step, a diene block copolymer, of which at least one of these blocks is constituted of a polyether, the number-average molecular weight of which is approximately from 100 to 5000 g/mol, and at least one other of these blocks is constituted of a diene elastomer. The process according to the invention allows a high degree of grafting of the polyether to the polymer chains. Also disclosed is a reinforced rubber composition, especially intended for the manufacture of tires, comprising such a block copolymer which is intended to interact with the reinforcing filler. Such a rubber composition has improved hysteresis properties in the vulcanized state, while retaining satisfactory processing properties in the non-vulcanized state.

Abstract: Cross-linkers and polymers produced using them are provided. The cross-linked polymers are suitable for use in applications where a broad temperature range may be encountered. In some examples, at least a first and a second polyetheretherketone chain may be cross-linked to each other through two or more Schiff base linkages. Articles using the cross-linked polymers are also described.

Abstract: Disclosed is a selected type of copolymer composition comprising copolymers having units derived from ethylene and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) co-monomers. Such copolymer compositions: a) have a DCPD-derived comonomer unit content of from about 25 mole % to about 45 mole %; b) have a Weight Average Molecular Weight, Mw, of greater than about 170,000; c) comprise amorphous material and have glass transition temperatures, Tg, of from about 8° C. to about 129° C., which also fit the equation Tg (in ° C.)?[(mole % DCPD×3.142)?4.67]; and d) comprise no significant amount of crystalline polyethylene homopolymer or crystallizable polyethylene segments within the ethylene-dicyclopentadiene copolymers. Such copolymers can be readily derivatized by hydrogenation and/or epoxidation to provide polymeric materials suitable for use as engineering thermoplastics.
