Abstract: An equine ankle brace including a panel of a resilient thermally insulating, heat retaining material, having a cup-shaped bottom portion for enabling the panel to be wrapped around the horse's ankle to readily conform to it. The panel has an inner surface and an outer surface, a pair of front marginal edges including releasably securable fastening straps for securing the brace in place. A stabilizing, e.g., leather, patch is fixedly secured to the panel at the location of the cup-shaped bottom portion. A fetlock support strap is fixedly secured to the stabilizing patch and includes respective portions configured to be pulled into an X-shaped overlapping relationship over the front of the brace for releasable securement to portions of the outer surface of the brace.
Abstract: Disclosed is a bidirectional jaw displacement oral appliance that is worn in the mouth of a user to reduce the effects of snoring and sleep apnea. The oral appliance includes an upper arch tray assembly against which the user's upper set of teeth are received and a lower arch tray assembly against which the user's lower set of teeth are received. An intermediate arch tray assembly is located between the upper and lower arch tray assemblies. The upper arch tray assembly is hingedly connected to the intermediate arch tray assembly so as to be rotatable with the user's upper set of teeth upwardly relative to the intermediate arch tray assembly. The lower arch tray assembly is adapted to move with the user's lower set of teeth in a horizontal direction relative to the upper and intermediate arch tray assemblies by which the user's lower jaw is advanced relative to the user's upper jaw to maintain an airway to the user's throat.
Abstract: An adjustable dental appliance having an upper tray and a lower tray is provided. The upper tray includes an upper dentition-interfacing layer and an upper support layer. The upper support layer has indentation tracks oriented in a mediolateral direction when an arch shape of the upper tray is aligned with an upper dental arch. The lower tray includes a lower dentition-interfacing layer and a lower support layer. The lower support layer has rails attached to an upper surface thereof and oriented in a mediolateral direction when an arch shape of the lower tray is aligned with a lower dental arch. The rails of the lower tray fit securely into the indentation tracks of the upper tray and thereby interlock the upper tray and lower tray.

Abstract: A safe mobility transport harness allows for safely restraining persons and for safely restraining the person's arms and legs to prevent a person from escape or being combative by using his or her elbows, arms or legs to suddenly run or unexpected elbow or kick another person, and yet, when in need to transport, the restraints may be safely and easily adjusted to allow for authorized, safe and limited movement and walking of the restrained person.

Abstract: A back support system adapted to be worn by a person, has (a) a pivot adjusting balance member system, (b) a flexible spine aligner, or (c) combination thereof.
Abstract: A mouthguard according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a teeth engagement portion having a medial surface. An anterior surface is coupled to the teeth engagement portion opposite the medial surface. A first breathing channel extends from the anterior surface to the medial surface. A second breathing channel extends from the anterior surface to the medial surface. A third breathing channel extends from the anterior surface to the medial surface. A first interior wall is disposed between the first breathing channel and the second breathing channel. The first interior wall is configured to be aligned with a first upper incisor of a wearer. A second interior wall is disposed between the second breathing channel and the third breathing channel. The second interior wall is configured to be aligned with a second upper incisor of the wearer.
Abstract: Provided is a soft flexible oral appliance having protuberances that mimic naturally occurring dental Tori. An upper, palatial appliance and a lower, mandibular appliance may be used in conjunction or separately to alleviate a variety of disorders, improve facial tone, and increase physical performance. The appliances are lightweight, thin, and do not prohibit normal speech patterns when in use Small protuberances are strategically molded along key surfaces of each appliance to stimulate nerves in the tongue and affect forward protrusion. Forward positioning of the tongue dilates the airways of the throat improving breathing while the use is sleeping, playing sports, or talking. It also reduces bruxing or grinding of the teeth. A method is further provided, for adding protuberances to other types of oral appliances, thereby conferring some of the benefits listed above on appliances originally intended for other dental uses.

Abstract: Toward prevention of the spread of COVID-19 virus and suppressing the pandemic caused by this outbreak, many local governments, states within the Unites States, and countries around the globe have mandated wearing of face covering masks. This mandate has introduced new challenges to the society. One of these challenges is formation of fog on the eyewear while wearing a mask. The direction of the leaked exhaled air from the upper edge of a face covering mask is upward. The location of the portion of the lens of the eyewear that is in front of the eye of the user is on top of the upper edge of the mask (because pulling up the mask further than the eye is not practically possible as the mask would block the eyesight). Hence, the leaked exhaled air (leaked from the top of the mask) moves over the surface of the lens of the eyewear and causes formation of fog on the surface of the lens of the eyewear.
Abstract: An intrauterine device (IUD) with a restricted movement of a string(s), the strings can be either a single string or two or more strings or a filament, emerging from the spherical bulge of IUD. The strings of IUD are of a differential strength so that the strings are soft and the hanging portion of the strings, “feelable” in the vaginal cavity, does not cause discomfort to the woman, nor bruise the organ of the partner during intercourse, at the same time the strings in the endocervical canal are relatively stiffer and not have the tendency to get curled up progressively. The strings optionally have marks to facilitate cutting by a surgeon to an accurate length.
