Abstract: A propulsion system for an aircraft, comprising at least one rotor and a nacelle fairing extending around the at least one rotor with respect to an axis of rotation of the rotor, the nacelle fairing comprising: an upstream section forming an inlet section of the nacelle fairing; a downstream section wherein a downstream end forms an outlet section of the nacelle fairing; and an intermediate section connecting the upstream and downstream sections, wherein the downstream section comprises a radially inner wall and a radially outer wall made of a deformable shape memory material, and further comprising at least one actuator mechanism with at least one cylinder configured to cooperate with one or more components, projections, etc., embedded in an inner surface of the radially outer wall so as to vary an outer diameter of the outlet section between a minimum diameter and a maximum diameter.

Abstract: A cargo transporting system for a tailsitter aircraft includes a cargo receptacle rotatably coupled to an underside of a wing and a cargo assembly selectively coupled to the cargo receptacle. By rotating the cargo receptacle, the cargo transporting system can transition between a deployed position and a retracted position. In the deployed position, the cargo receptacle is substantially perpendicular to the wing, and accommodates ground personnel charged with connecting or removing the cargo assembly from the cargo transporting system. In the retracted position, the cargo receptacle is substantially parallel to the wing, and positioned for flight operations.

Abstract: An electrical interface can include one or more connector devices that facilitate communication between components while they are connected. The connector devices can provide a secure communication and/or power link that resists infiltration by foreign object debris (“FOD”) as well as redundant electrical pathways. The connector devices can further provide mechanisms that are lightweight, are operable in a broad range of temperatures (e.g., low temperatures), accommodate displacement without loss of electrical continuity, and are of low resistance and induction. The connector devices can further provide a kickoff force upon separation of the components.

Abstract: An electric propulsion unit (102) for an aircraft is shown. A fan (202) produces a pressured airflow (P) by raising the pressure of an incident airflow (I). An electric machine (201) is arranged to drive the fan and is located within a casing (204). A primary cooling circuit (205) is located within the casing, and includes the electric machine and a first pass of a fluid-fluid heat exchanger (208), thereby placing the electric machine and the fluid-fluid heat exchanger in thermal communication. A secondary cooling circuit includes a second pass of the fluid-fluid heat exchanger and an air-fluid heat exchanger (210) located within the pressurised airflow produced by the fan, thereby placing the fluid-fluid heat exchanger and the air-fluid heat exchanger in thermal communication.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for deploying satellites is disclosed a satellite deployment mechanism includes an enclosure having at least one door, a lift table implemented therein, and a spring arranged to apply force to the lift table. A mounting system is arranged to allow for the satellite deployment mechanism to be mounted to a portion of a spacecraft. Responsive to opening the at least one door, the spring may cause the lift table to eject one or more satellites from the enclosure.

For instance, the customer may select an option to save the targeted offer to an offer library for later review. Additionally, the customer may select an option to access the offer library to review details of saved offers.
