Abstract: An embodiment involves persistent storage and one or more processors. The persistent storage may contain a plurality of hardware models specifying types of computing devices, wherein the hardware models include attributes representing manufacturer names, product names, and model numbers of the computing devices. The processors may be configured to: obtain, from the persistent storage, a hardware model; calculate a hash value over attributes of the hardware model; compare the hash value to hash values in a curated list, the curated list including normalized hardware models that map the hash values to normalized manufacturer names, normalized product names, or normalized model numbers; determine that the hash value matches a particular hash value for a normalized hardware model; and update, in the persistent storage, the hardware model to include at least one of a normalized manufacturer name, a normalized product name, or a normalized model number associated with the normalized hardware model.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of remotely influencing a performer at a live event via a customer mobile device is disclosed herein. The method includes: displaying a graphical user interface configured to receive user inputs; receiving a first user input including a user request for the performer at the live event; presenting predetermined terms and conditions associated with the user request; receiving a second user input including a user acceptance of the terms and conditions associated with the user request; transmitting the user request to a host server upon receiving the user acceptance of the terms and conditions associated with the user request; receiving a confirmation of the terms and conditions associated with the user request from the host server; and transmitting the user request for receipt by a performer mobile device of the performer during the live event.

Abstract: A solution for formatting document objects by visual suggestions is proposed. For a document including multiple editing units each of which contains multiple objects, a first editing rule is generated, the first editing rule indicating an edit performed on a first object in a document. Then, an editing suggestion is generated based on the first editing rule, the editing suggestion describing a candidate edit to be performed on a second object within a suggestion scope. The editing suggestion is then presented in a visual form to a user for selection.

Abstract: In a method of sharing an experience between a tapper and a content provider is provided, a feed aggregation engine receives a first interaction with a user interface, wherein the user interface is configured to deliver captured media associated with a first event of the content provider. The feed aggregation engine analyzes user data, wherein the user data includes data associated with the first interaction between the user and the user interface, wherein the first interaction is associated with a substantially real-time event. The feed aggregation engine further contemplates determining whether at least one pattern exists in the user data, and, responsive to determining that the at least one pattern exists associated with the user data, updating an experience policy associated with a user. The feed aggregation engine receives a second interaction with the user interface and applies the updated experience policy to a second event associated with the second interaction.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for displaying notifications received from multiple applications. In some embodiments, an electronic device can monitor notifications that are received from the multiple applications. Responsive to receiving the notifications, the electronic device can control the manner in which the notifications are displayed while the device is operating in a locked or an unlocked state. In some embodiments, the electronic device can allow users to customize how notifications are to be displayed while the device is in the locked and/or unlocked states.

Abstract: Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. An example process for performing a task includes, at an electronic device having one or more processors and memory, determining whether a shortcut criteria is met and in accordance with a determination that the shortcut criteria is met: displaying a first affordance corresponding to a first task of a shortcut over a user interface, determining whether the first task can be completed without displaying an application interface corresponding to the first task, in accordance with a determination that the first task can be completed without displaying the application interface, performing the first task while displaying the first affordance, and in accordance with a determination that the first task cannot be completed without displaying the application interface, displaying the application interface, and completing the first task using the application interface.

Abstract: A user can select content on an interface screen and provide an associated directional placement instruction to launch a new application window that displays the selected content or information associated with the selected content. The directional placement instruction may indicate an area of the screen where the user prefers to display the new application window. Responsive to the initiation of the directional placement instruction, a conversion module converts the selected content into a placeable representation of the new application. Responsive to receipt of the directional placement instruction, a window management system presents the new application window in the user interface in a location based on the directional placement instruction.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums for using a cloud assist service to generate a read-only GUI to view the status of a storage system. An authorized user can login remotely to the cloud assist service to view the read-only GUI of the storage system. The read-only GUI will present a view of the status of the storage system that is similar to a local GUI available to users connecting directly to the storage system. Responses used to generate the local GUI are recorded and simulated by the cloud assist service to create a familiar read-only GUI.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that provide a lean-back, interactive experience that enables a user to browse and understand content items (e.g., news articles or reactions) that provide different perspectives around a topic (e.g., a news story). In particular, the systems and methods can provide context around a topic by assembling a wide-range of interesting content around a topic and seamlessly allowing users to scan through articles by surfacing unique information contained in them. The systems and methods of the present disclosure can read, understand, and organizes thousands of documents around a topic, hence allowing easy consumption of news.

Abstract: An interactive contact organizational information retrieval and archive transport system with notifications and contact-centric archive for objects is presented, offering touch screen interface interaction, indication receipt and storage. Users create repositories of objects assigned to specific contact profiles. Any communication with contact triggers notification of the object that is waiting in active repository. User swipes open active repository offering options, including open, send, keep active, archive, etc. Activated by contacts, the application aggregates an object or string of objects associated with a communication linked to the contact profile, making accessible those objects across all user devices, creating folders and subfolders in the profile. After communication, the application offers options to archive or keep object active. Scheduling and desired features reside in Global and local settings. Abstract: Systems and methods to determine an event location on a feeder line segment that is downstream of a feeder line branch. A first indication of an event is received from a sensor located on a feeder line upstream of the feeder line branch. A status of a monitored segment downstream of the feeder line branch is determined based on receiving the indication. The monitored segment is determined to be a particular branch based on locations of the feeder line branch, status sensors downstream of the feeder line branch, and location data of segments downstream of the feeder line branch. The event is determined to have occurred on a determined segment downstream of the feeder line branch based on the status of the monitored segment and on which segment is the monitored segment. An indication that the event occurred on the determined segment is provided based on determining the monitored segment.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling communications and feedback with users of virtual reality user interfaces are described. The virtual reality user interface may include a background model, a plurality of cells and subcells, and an interaction area. The interaction area may be positioned at a virtual location of the user, and the interaction area may include a border around its periphery. Responsive to various user inputs or actions, or device or system states or conditions, visual characteristics of the interaction area and border may be selected and rendered to provide communications and feedback to a user. In addition, the interaction area and border may receive voice inputs provided by users. Accordingly, the interaction area and border may provide communications and feedback with users of virtual reality user interfaces.

Abstract: A media file processing method is described. Multiple selected media files are processed by a terminal device comprising a processor and a memory storing computer readable instructions executed by the processor. The terminal device extracts content association information corresponding to the multiple selected media files. The terminal device further synthesizes the multiple selected media files according to the content association information to obtain an animation that is a dynamic presentation of contents of the multiple selected media files. The animation is then stored in a predetermined file format in the terminal device.

Abstract: System and method for rotational video-like display of images of a gemstone in a viewer having a pan feature. In response to a pan command specifying a direction of rotation for a displayed gemstone, a computing system receives multiple datasets of images of the gemstone. Each dataset contains multiple images of the gemstone, with each image captured from a different angular perspective as compared to other images in the dataset. The different perspective can be captured, for example, around an axis of rotation that depicts the item at a particular angle of view. Once multiple images are received in a dataset, the images are progressively displayed in a viewer by transitioning between individual images in a certain order based on the received pan command. The pan command can specify both a direction and a magnitude of rotation, such as by clicking and dragging or swiping on a touchscreen.

In accordance with a determination that the webpage provides access to an image that meets predefined quality standards, the device displays the high-quality image as an icon associated with the webpage at a respective location in the web browser. In accordance with a determination that the webpage does not provide access to an image that meets the predefined quality standards, the device identifies other content associated with the webpage, generates a generated icon based on the content, and displays the generated icon at a respective location in the web browser.
