Abstract: Pullulan forms an association complex with PEG in a hydrous system. The assocation complex, as well as its pullulan and PEG components, exerts a decreased solubility in water. The association reduces or even eliminates the excessively high water-solubility, threading and stickiness of pullulan so that this extends the uses of pullulan and PEG such as those in gradually disintegrable- and sustained release-shaped articles for consumer's products, toiletries, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and feeds.
Abstract: This invention relates to bleaching compounds and compositions that provide effective and efficient surface bleaching of textiles over a wide range of bleach solution temperatures. The bleaching compounds of the invention yield a peroxyacid with a polar amide link in the hydrophobic chain when used in the bleaching compositions. In a preferred embodiment, the bleaching compositions of the invention are also detergent compositions.
Abstract: Aqueous low-foam cleaning compositions containing at least one surfactant which is a water-soluble or water-emulsifiable polyalkylene glycol ether of a long-chain alcohol, and at least one diethanolamine derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radicals containing 8 to 14 carbon atoms for R.sub.1 and 9 to 17 carbon atoms for R.sub.2, andr, s, t, u, v and w are integers of from 1 to 3.

Abstract: A non-aqueous liquid heavy duty laundry detergent composition comprising a suspension of builder salt in liquid nonionic surfactant in which the stability of the composition is improved by the addition of small amounts of organophilic modified clay. Stability is further enhanced by grinding the solid particulate matter, including builder salt, bleach and other minor ingredients to a particle size below about 15 microns. The preferred organophilic modified clay is a water-swellable smectite clay in which the metal cations are totally or partially exchanged with a mono- or di-long chain quaternary ammonium compound.
Abstract: A liquid cleanser composition comprises 1 to 20 percent by weight of a surfactant and 3 to 70 percent by weight of a water-insoluble abrasive of the interpenetrated crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite crystals, composed of at least 30 crystals formed into an aggregate.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for preparing highly pure homogeneous precursor powder mixtures for metal oxide superconductive ceramics. The mixes are prepared by instantaneous precipitation from stoichiometric solutions of metal salts such as nitrates at controlled pH's within the 9 to 12 range, by addition of solutions of non-complexing pyrolyzable cations, such as alkyammonium and carbonate ions.
