Abstract: The present invention provides herbal compositions comprise Radix Dioscoreae, Radix Codonopsis, and Radix Astragalus Membranaceus. The herbal compositions are used to suppress intestinal glucose uptake of intestinal villus and decrease blood glucose levels. The present invention also provides methods of regulating blood glucose levels by administrating the herbal compositions.
Abstract: A spray composition and method are provided that are effective for reduction or elimination of the psychological hunger for foods for which a patient wishes to reduce consumption. Such ingredients preferably include but are not limited to cinnamon, lemon powder, coffee grounds, alcohol, citric acid, vanilla, and sugar and/or an artificial sweetener such as saccharin. The composition of the invention is preferably sprayed into the mouth, resulting in a lessening or elimination of psychological hunger. The method and spray composition saturate a person's craving for foods by penetrating to the blood through the oral mucosa, and satisfying taste buds.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a topical composition and method of use, specifically an oil-in-water emulsion, comprised of sweet almond oil, lavender oil, rose oil, cinnamon bark oil, and coriander seed oil in a physiologically acceptable topical carrier. The composition is applied to a circumcised penis to enhance sensitivity, preferably twice daily for a time period of at least about two weeks. Thereafter a maintenance dose can be applied once a day to maintain a desired level of sensitivity.

Abstract: A dietary supplement that may include chromium 4-hydroxyisoleucinate. The chromium 4-hydroxyisoleucinate may be provided in a molar ratio between 1:5 and 5:1 ligand to metal. The dietary supplement may be used to manage blood glucose levels, to improve insulin resistance, and to improve glucose uptake.
Abstract: A rodent repellent system for repelling rodents from open spaces while simultaneously providing a pleasant scent. The inventive device includes a wood stake which is driven into the ground. The stake is soaked in a fragrance oil. A package preferably stores one or more of the stakes preferably within a sealable plastic bag. The user drives the stake into open earth in the area to be cleared of rodents. The fragrance oil is retained by the stake and slowly released. The fragrance oil provides a strong scent that repels rodents by irritating their respiratory system while simultaneously providing a pleasant scent to humans.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preparing a red ginseng saponin extract. In the method, saponin components and non-saponin components are extracted from red ginseng and the non-saponin components are selectively removed from the red ginseng extract to prepare a red ginseng extract containing large amounts of the saponin components. According to the method, saponin components are extracted from red ginseng in high yield and non-saponin components are efficiently removed from the extract. Also disclosed is a red ginseng saponin extract prepared by the method. The red ginseng saponin extract is free of precipitable substances and putrefactive substances, such as starch and free sugars, and contains high-purity saponin components at high concentrations. The red ginseng saponin extract is prevented from being discolored and precipitated even after long-term storage, achieving good storage stability and high marketability.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for the preparation of compositions comprising adipose tissue-derived secretions, for example those derived from bovine adipose tissue, and the use of such compositions in the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for topical use. The invention also relates to the use of adipose tissue-derived secretions and pharmaceutical compositions thereof for the topical treatment of a non-inflammatory condition, for example the treatment of a skin condition, and for the stimulation of hair growth in a subject by topical application. The invention also relates to the use of adipose tissue-derived secretions and pharmaceutical compositions thereof for the topical treatment of acne.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and device to isolate compounds from plant material using vibrational pulsing, vibrational decanting, vibrational sieving and vibrational rinsing. A susceptible liquid is generated by vibrational agitation, decanted when in a vibrating container and then collected by passing over a series of vibrating screens and then rinsed with water while collected on the vibrating screens and the residue collected. The isolated compound can either be collected in the decant or retained on the screens. In an embodiment of the invention, the vibrational rinsing step reduces unwanted impurities isolated.
