Abstract: This invention relates to a hinge for interconnecting sections of a floating dock and for interconnecting walkways with floating docks. This hinge protects docks from being damaged by stress exerted by the side to side or up and down motion of the wave, storm or high winds. This hinge can also be used for reconstructing old damaged docks. The hinge comprises two stackable sheet of twisting members which are preferably flat, each having an arcuate front end for facilitating a twisting motion of the twisting members relative to each other, a mounting plate, and a central opening for accomodating a pivot rod; a fastener for keeping the hinge components together; and, preferably washers to protect the outside surfaces of the twisting members from abrasion. One side of the hinge preferably attaches to a dock section having a dock joint bracket while the other end preferably attaches to a plain corner bracket to allow vertical pivotal movement of the dock sections in response to wave motions.
Abstract: A wire is fabricated of a semi-rigid material. The wire may be bent by a user. At least three primary sections are formed. A nipple reception circle is located between the primary sections. The circle has a center. Each primary section extends radially outwardly from the center of the circle. A pair of end sections are formed. Two stem sections extend radially from the circle. An interior point is formed. An exterior point is formed. The end sections and the stem sections are oriented in a common plane prior to use. The end and stem sections are movable to an orientation with the end sections overlapped into a locking relationship when the circle encompasses the nipple of a user. The interiors of the primary sections are in holding contact adjacent to at least three spaced points around the nipple of the user.
Abstract: An array if sealers for hangtags and the like includes plural parallel sealers on two connecting pieces. Each of the sealers includes a filament, an inserting head at one of the filament, and a socket at another end of the filament. Each sealer is attached to adjacent sealers with latching pieces that are arrayed on one or both sides of the connecting piece that is adjacent to the inserting heas. The latching pieces hold the sealers in proper alignment for a dispensing gun.
