Abstract: A multistage thermostat means that is adapted for use with equipment such as a heat pump and auxiliary heat and which effects efficient operation upon a temperature setup after a nigh setback function by introducing an exponential change in the apparent control setpoint. The sensitivity of the signal processing channel of the system is altered to maintain stability. The system further contains a power-up reset function that also alters the signal processing channel for rapid reestablishment of normal control.
Abstract: A fluid temperature measuring device, which includes a resistance temperature detector (RTD), is disclosed for measuring the temperature of a fluid flowing through one of several heat exchange conduits which empty into a channel of a heat exchanger of a refrigeration system. The device is simple, inexpensive, reliable, easy to replace, and may be used with a microprocessor control system for the refrigeration system.
Abstract: A multilayer heat insulating and reflecting strip is adapted to fit a baseboard heater behind and below the lengthwise extending heating element. An adhesive means along one edge secures the strip in place. The strip can be a laminate of polyvinylchloride foam and aluminum foil.
