Abstract: The presently claimed invention is directed to agricultural compositions which find primary use as a herbicide, through may also be used for pesticidal and fungicidal roles. The presently claimed invention comprises compositions combining monterpene compounds with fatty acid soaps. In particular monterpene alcohols are preferred as a primary phytoactive agent. Preferred embodiments are based on coniferous oils, such as pine oil, in combination with a tall oil reacted with an alkali to form a fatty acid soap. Preferred methods of application include spraying in a manner in which some foaming effect is observed, which appears to confer advantage over the spray application of monoterpene compounds alone.
Abstract: A plant growth promoter composition is provided comprising: (a) not in excess of 20% by weight of one or more gibberellins; and (b) an essentially non-aqueous solvent system comprising: (i) 30 to 99% by weight of one or more lipophilic solvents; (ii) at least an equivalent molar amount to the gibberellins of one or more lipophilic alkaline coupling agents which enable the gibberellins to form a lipophilic solvent soluble complex; (iii) 1 to 50% by weight of one or more emulsifiers which blend with the lipophilic solvent(s) to form a homogeneous product and enable dispersion of the composition into water for application; and (iv) optionally, not in excess of 15% by weight of one or more viscosity reducing co-solvents.

Abstract: A process is provided for preparing a downstream processable ammonium glyphosate paste. The process includes mixing in a reactor (i) particulate glyphosate acid, (ii) ammonia, (iii) adjuvant, and (iii) water. The reaction of glyphosate acid with ammonia causes the generation of heat resulting in the partial evaporation of the water such that an ammonium glyphosate paste is formed, having a moisture content of about 2% to about 20% by weight. The addition of the adjuvant to the reactor (i) increases the rate at which the glyphosate acid and ammonia react to form ammonium glyphosate and/or (ii) reduces the flow resistance of the reaction mass as it is being conveyed to the product discharge region of the reactor. The ammonium glyphosate paste may then be further processed to form a granular herbicidal composition.
