Abstract: A terminal device (e.g., a smartphone) may use a private key to generate a first configuration object used for establishing a first wireless connection between the terminal device and an access point. The terminal device may also use the private key to generate a second configuration object used for establishing a second wireless connection between a communication device (e.g., a printer) and the access point. The terminal device may then transmit specific data (e.g., print data) to the communication device via the access point.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a main body and a post-processing device. The main body includes an operation panel and a first controller that switches an action mode to a first action mode or a second action mode. The post-processing device includes an operation receiving section and a second controller. The operation receiving section receives an operation by a user and outputs an operation signal. The operation receiving section is in an unreachable position for the user when operating the operation panel. The first controller switches the action mode upon determining that an operation indicated by the operation signal received through the second controller matches a predetermined operation. The second controller controls action of the post-processing device independent of control by the first controller in the second action mode.

The composite processing device includes a sensor that detects whether the check printing mechanism and the roll printing mechanism are in a enabled state or a disabled state, and a processor causes a display to display check printing mechanism state information and roll printing mechanism state information based on results of the detection by the sensor. When the check printing mechanism is selected and is in the enabled state, the processor causes the display to display the check printing mechanism state information and the roll printing mechanism state information. When the check printing mechanism is selected and is in the disabled state, the processor causes the display to display information on the disabled state of the check printing mechanism.

Abstract: A system and method for ascertaining and printing supplemental forms identified from content of a scanned form includes a multifunction peripheral having an intelligent controller with a processor, memory, a network interface. The MFP includes a print engine and a scan engine operable from instructions issued by the controller. The scanner generates an electronic form document from a scan of tangible form document comprised of user supplied information in a user fillable form. The electronic form document includes content data associated with at least one, preexisting supplemental form that related to the electronic form. A generated electronic document is sent to a server via a network interface, which network interface then receives a supplemental electronic form identified by the server in accordance with the content data. The controller generates a printout of the supplemental electronic form via the print engine.

Abstract: A system and method for machine learning classification of sensitive data includes a multifunction peripheral having an intelligent controller with a processor and associated memory, and print and scan engines operable in connection with instructions received from the controller. The processor receives electronic document data comprised of a plurality of electronic documents. The processor applies machine learning to the electronic document data and extracts metadata comprised as data patterns which are stored in memory. The processor generates pattern classifications from extracted data patterns to generate telemetry data. Generated telemetry data is sent to an associated server via the network interface. The server provides analytics on received telemetry data to provide enhancements for improving the multifunction peripheral.

Abstract: A system and method provides for monitoring of popular multifunction peripheral instruction sequences for generation and installation of custom applications. The MFP has a user interface, including a display, and receives a sequence of document processing instruction sequences from one or more users. The processor generates log data corresponding to a logging of each received document processing instruction sequence. The processor sends generated log data to an associated server via a network interface. The network interface receives an application generated by the associated server in accordance with generated log data via the network interface. The processor then installs a received application on the multifunction peripheral along with control indicia on the display. The processor performs a sequence of document processing instructions specified by the received application upon a user selection of the control indicia.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided though which a transaction, e.g., in a multi-tier, distributed application may be initiated from a portable or hand-held device, such as a smartphone. A computer system or systems, possibly remote from the device, may approve the transaction, complete it, or both, and the remote computer system or systems may cause a document to be printed, e.g., by a printer physically proximate to the device. Aspects of the invention are illustrated by embodiments in which a drug prescription may be created electronically using a hand-held device. In such an embodiment, the prescription may be transmitted to one or more remote computer systems, such as an application server, for processing. If specified, the remote computer systems may cause a prescription to be printed, e.g., at a printer near the prescriber's location. The prescriber may sign the printed prescription and give it to a patient or pharmacy.

An NPac property stored in the memory describes a dimensional relationship between the NPac data of the alternative printing pipeline and the ink-channel data for the ink-channel printing pipeline. The system includes a processor to execute instructions stored in the memory. The instructions generate a mapping file based on the NPac property to map from an ink-channel space described by the ink-channel data to an NPac space described by the NPac data.

A transmission section transmits a data block including a predetermined amount of data and a sequence number. A reception section receives the data block. A packet inspection controller of the reception section determines whether the received data block is correct or wrong, based on a result of detection of an error in the data and a result of comparison between an expected value of the sequence number and a value of the sequence number included in the data block. The expected value of the sequence number is changed to a next value when it is determined that the data block is wrong a predetermined number of times.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, a device and a storage medium for printing information. The method includes: acquiring authentication information of a current operator of a terminal; determining whether the current operator is a legitimate user according to the authentication information of the current operator; and sending the authentication information to a preset printer associated with the terminal when the current operator is an illegitimate user. In the technical solution, when it is determined that the current operator is an illegitimate user, the authentication information of the current operator is sent to a preset printer, in order for the preset printer to print the authentication information. It can improve the security of the terminal, and thus improve the user experience.
