Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for tracking a position of one or more Wi-Fi devices of a plurality of Wi-Fi devices. For tracking the position of the one or more Wi-Fi devices, a Triggering Router triggers the one or more Wi-Fi devices to transmit one of a broadcast probe and a directed probe through broadcasting hidden SSID networks and common SSIDs that increase a probing tendency of the one or more Wi-Fi devices. The plurality of Wi-Fi sniffers, then, collect measurement data associated with the one or more Wi-Fi devices in response to detecting the broadcast probe transmission and the directed probe transmission. Thereafter, the position of the one or more Wi-Fi devices is estimated using an adaptive machine learning model based on an indoor model whose parameters are tuned based on radio frequency (RF) measurements from the plurality of Wi-Fi devices and the measurement data.

  • Patent number: 11317424
Abstract: A system for prioritizing network resource dispatch may include receiving a request for a network resource from a mobile device associated with a user, the request comprising mobile device and user characteristics, and location information. A request priority may be determined based on some combination of a mobile device score and user score. The request priority is assigned to the request. A highest ranked mobile device request priority is determined, and the network resource is dispatched to a location corresponding to the highest ranked request priority. A heatmap may be generated to illustrate a geographical representation of each mobile device data usage rate at each mobile device respective location. The request priorities may change based on any combination of the mobile device characteristics, user characteristics, location information and the usage characteristics. Therefore, the priority of dispatching the network resource may be determined dynamically and updated as the inputs change.

  • Patent number: 11265745
Abstract: Faults along a transmission pathway of a cell tower disrupt or prevent the cell tower from connecting user equipment (UE) to a cellular network. A cell tower monitoring and diagnostic system identify faults that occur along the transmission pathway and provide information regarding the faults to a network management center. The cell tower monitoring and diagnostic system can include multiple monitoring devices that are electrically coupled to portions of the transmission pathway. Each of the monitoring devices outputs an inquiry signal along the portion of the transmission pathway and receives a response signal in return. Each of the monitoring devices generates and transmits an output based on the response signal. A base station analyzes or evaluates the outputs from the monitoring devices to identify a fault on the transmission pathway. The base station can also determine the location and type of the fault based on the output.

  • Patent number: 11250255
Abstract: Disclosed is a new document processing solution that combines the powers of machine learning and deep learning and leverages the knowledge of a knowledge base. Textual information in an input image of a document can be converted to semantic information utilizing the knowledge base. A semantic image can then be generated utilizing the semantic information and geometries of the textual information. The semantic information can be coded by semantic type determined utilizing the knowledge base and positioned in the semantic image utilizing the geometries of the textual information. A region-based convolutional neural network (R-CNN) can be trained to extract regions from the semantic image utilizing the coded semantic information and the geometries. The regions can be mapped to the textual information for classification/data extraction. With semantic images, the number of samples and time needed to train the R-CNN for document processing can be significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 11240748
Abstract: A wireless communication network delivers multi-frequency service to User Equipment (UE). A primary node receives signaling from the UE that indicates secondary nodes along with their frequencies and signal strengths. The primary node selects candidate nodes based on the signal strengths for the secondary nodes. The primary node determines potential intermodulation interference between the primary frequency and the frequencies for the candidate set. The primary node selects a qualifying set from the candidate set based on the potential intermodulation interference. The primary node determines communication performance for the qualifying set and selects a serving set from the qualifying set based on the communication performance. The primary node wirelessly transfers signaling to the UE identifying the serving set and transfers signaling to the serving set identifying the UE. The serving set of secondary access nodes wirelessly transfer user data to the UE over their frequencies responsive to the signaling.

  • Patent number: 11228899
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE) with a first Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) and a second USIM, the UE establishes a connection associated with the first USIM, wherein a UE state corresponding to the first USIM enters connected state. The UE stops monitoring paging in a serving cell for the second USIM based on a time domain pattern derived using a second UE Identifier (UE ID) associated with the second USIM, wherein the stopping monitoring paging is performed when the UE state corresponding to the first USIM is connected state and a UE state corresponding to the second USIM is idle state or inactive state. The UE receives, in a serving cell for the first USIM from a network node, an indication associated with activity for the second USIM via the connection associated with the first USIM.

  • Patent number: 11210820
Abstract: Iterative reconstruction (20) of imaging data is performed to generate a sequence of update images (22) terminating at a reconstructed image. During the iterative reconstruction, at least one of an update image and a parameter of the iterative reconstruction is adjusted using an adjustment process separate from the iterative reconstruction. In some embodiments using an edge-preserving regularization prior (26), the adjustment process (30) adjusts an edge preservation threshold to reduce gradient steepness above which edge preservation applies for later iterations compared with earlier iterations. In some embodiments, the adjustment process includes determining (36, 38) for each pixel, voxel, or region of a current update image whether its evolution prior to the current update image 22) satisfies an artifact feature criterion. A local noise suppression operation (40) is performed on the pixel, voxel, or region if the evolution satisfies the artifact feature criterion and is not performed otherwise.

  • Patent number: 11170338
Abstract: Autonomous cellular transceivers for data logging, tracking and managing shipments, the devices having auto-provisioning capability. To auto-provision itself, the cellular device must be associated in a digital record with a particular shipment or object based on physical attachment or proximity—without manual assistance. Subsequent logging, tracking and managing records in a database or databases accessible to one or more users must be updated to reflect that assignment. Auto-provisioning is achieved by associating a cellular identification number of the autonomous cellular device with a shipment or object having a unique shipping identification number or an inventory identification number. Once the identifiers are coupled, the system creates a “shipment profile” of relevant data collected by a sensor or sensors on the cellular device while en route. The system will monitor, log, and report timepoint, waypoint, condition of the goods (as evidenced or extrapolated from sensor data) while in transit.
