Abstract: A cap is provided for fitting over a bicycle control cable. The cap includes first and second portions. The first portion has a first inner surface defining a first inner hole, the first inner hole having a diameter greater than an outside diameter of the inner cable and smaller than an inside diameter of the casing. The second portion has a second inner surface defining a second inner hole, the second inner hole having a diameter capable of receiving an end of the casing. The first inner hole is sized to help prevent the penetration of foreign objects into the control cable.
