  • Patent number: 11010505
Abstract: One or more processors receive a breakpoint. The breakpoint is paired with a resume point. One or more processors execute a set of machine instructions on a virtual processor model. One or more processors halt execution of the set of machine instructions on the virtual processor model at the breakpoint. One or more processors execute a fragment of a program instruction on a physical processor. The fragment is logically equivalent to the set of machine instructions between the breakpoint and the resume point. One or more processors load a processed result into the virtual processor model. The processed result results from executing the fragment on the physical processor. One or more processors resume the execution of the set of machine instructions on the virtual processor model at the resume point.

  • Patent number: 10970449
Abstract: Generating an abstract model of the behavior of a hardware and/or software design. A learning framework learns an unknown regular language that represents the behaviors of the hardware and/or software logic which do not violate a specified property that the abstract model is required to satisfy. The framework receives input data including the specified property, concrete models of the behavior of the hardware and/or software; and an alphabet of all symbols that are allowed to occur in any string that can be defined in the unknown regular language, each symbol representing an event in the hardware and/or software. The framework generates an abstract model of the behavior of the hardware or software design by checking whether a sequence of events in a concrete model satisfies the specified property and outputs the generated abstract model.

  • Patent number: 10959818
Abstract: A method is provided for designing and fabricating a removable partial denture (RPD) framework including clasp retainers configured for removable engagement with abutment teeth of a patient. The method includes obtaining an initial digital model of the RPD framework based on patient image data. For each clasp retainer, a set of relevant geometric parameters is identified, each relevant geometric parameter being provided with a nominal value, and a target value of dislodging force is provided. The method further includes performing a force analysis on the initial digital model to determine corrected values for the relevant geometric parameters of each clasp retainer such that when the corrected values are assigned to the relevant geometric parameters, the dislodging force matches its target value. The method also includes obtaining a corrected digital model based on the corrected values, and fabricating the RPD framework based on the corrected digital model.

  • Patent number: 10872187
Abstract: A method for ensuring that verification results about models apply to cyber-physical systems (CPS) implementations is presented. The invention provides correctness guarantees for CPS executions at runtime. Offline verification of CPS models are combined with runtime validation of system executions for compliance with the model. The invention ensures that the verification results obtained for the model apply to the actual system runs by monitoring the behavior of the world for compliance with the model, assuming the system dynamics deviation is bounded. If, at some point, the observed behavior no longer complies with the model, such that offline verification results no longer apply, provably safe fallback actions are initiated. The invention includes a systematic technique to synthesize provably correct monitors automatically from CPS proofs in differential dynamic logic.

  • Patent number: 10860767
Abstract: Various embodiments describe performing a transient simulation of circuits that have mutual inductors. In particular, some embodiments perform a transient simulation on a circuit model by removing and approximating the effects of one or more entries of a matrix in the circuit model, where the matrix relates to inductors or mutual inductors of the circuit. In doing so, such embodiments can render the matrix more sparse than before which, in turn, can reduce the time spent during the transient simulation to solve equations of the circuit model.

  • Patent number: 10860763
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods of compiling resources of a programmable emulation system to execute an emulation process, to emulate a logic system, such as an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), currently being tested and prototyped, and then revising, transforming, and moving the compiled instructions sets to inexpensively, quickly, and dynamically adapt to unavailable resources, which may be due to previously allocation to a different emulation job, or for fault tolerance. Relocation of the resources that will execute the emulation job (i.e., “footprint”) may refer to the remapping of a compiled footprint to a revised set of resources, defining a revised footprint. Fault tolerance may refer to support for working around faulty hardware components of the emulation system.

  • Patent number: 10842594
Abstract: A system and associated methodology for the generation of digital models that account for the adaptation of the shape of the patient's gingiva is provided. The exemplary system uses an initial scan of the patient's gingiva as a base model, taking into account the type and morphology of the teeth, the shape, orientation and movements of the roots inside the gingiva, and other factors for a more accurate prediction of the changes in the shape of the gingiva throughout every step of the treatment. In particular, the system proactively determines the areas of the model that will be covered by the aligner and prevents changes to such areas, whereas the shape of the model outside these areas is altered in a way to minimize the size of model and to add any necessary features for the manufacturing of the aligners.

  • Patent number: 10822925
Abstract: Computer system performance is improved during reservoir simulation runs where heterogeneous rock formations suffer from convergence problems. Convergence problems are affected by accurate determination of pressure distribution for reservoir simulation, which is very complex when properties or attributes of reservoir rock formations are heterogeneous. In heterogeneous reservoir rock formations, pressure distribution is affected over three dimensions by variations of rock permeability and porosity. The difficulty in convergence of the simulation runs results in increased computer operation and processing time and consequent computer usage costs. Improved determination of pressure distribution in heterogeneous rock formations permits acceptable initial pressure measures for pressure determination during reservoir simulation and to reduce convergence problems with existing reservoir simulation.
