  • Patent number: 7475433
Abstract: A glove includes two “H” shaped stiffening battens on a dorsal side. The battens terminate on a proximal side of the second through fifth fingers, and are formed from a non-rigid material. A one-piece protective panel is attached to the palmar side of the glove. The protective panel covers portions of the wearing hand palm corresponding to the distal ends of the second through fifth metacarpal bones, as well as palmar side portions of the second through fifth digits corresponding to the second through fifth proximal phalanx bones. Flex notch cut-outs in the protective panel correspond to portions of the palmar region which tend to bunch during gripping of a bar or other object and help prevent discomfort during such gripping.

  • Patent number: 7451496
Abstract: A glove having a heat insulating barrier is disclosed. The heat insulating barrier is removably inserted into a zippered pocket or a weblike pouch, the pocket or pouch being positioned proximate the back of a user's hand. the heat insulating barrier acts to selectively reduce heat conduction from the back side of the hand, thereby allowing the user's hand or hands to remain warm in cold environments. The ability to stack a varying number of heat insulating layers in the pouch or pocket further allows the user to selectively control the warmth of the hand as the ambient temperature fluctuates during use. The zippered pocket or weblike pouch can have first and second opening to permit increased cooling through the back portion of the glove.

  • Patent number: 7398559
Abstract: A head band device for protecting a wearer's eyes from perspiration from the wearer's forehead is provided. A substantially nonabsorbent band includes a front band portion and two side band portions. The gutter structure extends from an outer surface of the band. The gutter structure includes a gutter base and a gutter lip. The gutter structure in combination with the front band portion and at least part of the first and second side band portions forms a perspiration channel with a generally U-shaped cross-section. The gutter base has a first thickness at a central portion thereof. The gutter base has a second thickness at end portions thereof. The first thickness is greater than the second thickness. The gutter base slopes from the central portion downward toward the end portions thereof, transitioning from the first thickness to the second thickness. A closure system has two fasteners and an elastic loop member.

  • Patent number: 7383588
Abstract: A wrap for a body part such as a human wrist. The wrap includes an elongated flexible and helical-shaped member which is constructed of a material having shape memory so that, upon release of the member following deflection of the member, the member returns to its original helical shape. A covering is disposed around the member which either absorbs perspiration or applies a medication.

  • Patent number: 7380288
Abstract: A kitchen grip is composed of a water-proof and stain-proof material, having temperature control characteristics. A sheet having a smooth or textured and recessed imprint on one surface provides a non-slip contact surface, while the opposite surface of the sheet is composed of a close fabricated fabric affixed to the sheet of textured, non-slip contact surface material. The sheets are die cut to a useful shape. The two sheets are joined together by a zigzag lock or straight stitch employing nylon thread, by sonic welding or gluing.

  • Patent number: 7360258
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to hats, and more specifically to multi-function hats that provide the wearer with an enhanced sporting or fashion experience. The present invention pertains to an article of headwear with an integrated incision for maintaining and holding a portion of the wearer's hair outside the hat. This function is not only a fashion benefit but also is a safety function in that it keeps the wearer's hair away from the wearer's eyes by pulling the hair away from the wearer's face to the back of the head. The integrated incision also enables the article of headwear to stay on the wearer's head.
