  • Patent number: 8214286
Abstract: Systems, computer program products, and computer-implemented methods apply or otherwise make available new credit or additional credit to demand deposit accounts, prepaid cards, and existing lines of credit of a customer based on expected tax refund amounts. A computerized estimate of the tax refund available from a tax return of the customer is formed. A portion of the computerized estimate of the tax refund which can be made available as the line of credit is then determined. The existing line of credit is then adjusted based on the expected refund determined to be available, which will serve as an additional source of repayment for the line of credit. One or more of several adjustments may then be made to an existing line of credit. The invention may be implemented as a computerized process, a computer system or a computer program product.

  • Patent number: 8185460
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include methods and systems for an electronic financial transaction system with a translation system architecture. Aspects of the invention provide translation methods such that the front-end functions (e.g., authentication, presentation, content library, data library, and banking functions) are all performed under one system. These front-end functions are decoupled from their respective bank back office systems. The information from these front-end functions are merged together to form a session profile information. The translation service or module receives this session profile information and translates the session profile information of the transactions in order to complete the transaction for the user.

A second summarized risk rating based on weights of risks, the sub-category, and the item is calculated. A first summary report that includes a hyperlink and the first summarized risk rating is displayed. In response to selecting the hyperlink, a second summary report that includes the second summarized risk rating is automatically displayed. Actions are performed to mitigate risks in response to determining that the first and second summarized risk ratings exceed predetermined values.
