  • Patent number: 12254409
Abstract: An inference system performs inference, such as object recognition, based on sensory inputs generated by sensors and control information associated with the sensory inputs. The sensory inputs describe one or more features of the objects. The control information describes movement of the sensors or known locations of the sensors relative to a reference point. For a particular object, an inference system learns a set of object-location representations of the object. An object-location representation is a unique characterization of an object-centric location relative to the particular object. The inference system also learns a set of feature-location representations associated with the object-location representation that indicate presence of features at the corresponding object-location pair.

  • Patent number: 12225261
Abstract: An interface of a device can allow a resource to set a location of a PiP window that is different than the default or predetermined location of the PiP window. The device can set a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) window location. The device can receive a PiP window location request that comprises one or more location parameters that indicate a location for display of a PiP window. The device can set the PiP window location based on the one or more location parameters. The device can then send the PiP window location to a PiP control management service. The resource then is able to control the placement of information associated with the resource to provide the user with an improved user experience.

  • Patent number: 12206957
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are provided to automatically identify advertisements or other portions of a broadcast television stream before the stream is distributed via a cable, DBS, IPTV or other medium. The television broadcast is received at the data processing system, and audio content of the television broadcast is analyzed to generate an audio fingerprint of a portion of the audio content. The identified audio fingerprint are compared to audio fingerprints stored in a database to thereby identify the portion of the television broadcast based on the generated audio fingerprint. By identifying the contents of an actual broadcast prior to redistribution of the broadcast, additional actions may be taken that are unique to the identified content.

  • Patent number: 12207023
Abstract: A system and method for creating small data size representations of images, created on the image detection device, over wireless connections when there is insufficient bandwidth to support detailed images is disclosed. Image data size is often too large to send over low-powered long-distance wireless connections. Image data must be dramatically reduced to enable use of the lowest-power longest-distance wireless platforms including LoRa with LoRaWAN. Common image compression algorithms include jpeg and mpeg that provide only moderate reductions in data size. The described invention reduces data size beyond jpeg compression by reducing targeted image objects to simple outlines, contours or vectors. Monitoring security, wildlife, agricultural and other natural events require images of objects including insects, crops, livestock, wildlife or intruders. Contours, outlines or vectors of targeted objects are often sufficiently recognizable to provide useful information.

  • Patent number: 12200301
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for replacing digital content. An example embodiment operates by detecting a segment of a data stream to be output by a media device and generating a fingerprint of digital content corresponding to the segment using automatic content recognition (ACR). The example embodiment further operates by comparing the fingerprint with a plurality of fingerprints of a plurality of digital content, identifying a matched fingerprint of a matched digital content, and comparing metadata of the matched digital content with metadata of a restricted digital content. The example embodiment further operates by determining that the digital content corresponding to the segment is blocked from being output by the media stream and replacing the digital content with new digital content in the segment.
