  • Patent number: 10989267
Abstract: A damping valve for a vibration damper includes a damping valve body with a through-channel whose outlet opening is at least partially closed by at least one elastically deformable valve disk. A further valve element is associated with the valve disk. This further valve element predetermines a defined lift behavior for the valve disk proceeding from a valve seat surface. The further valve element is formed by an elastic coating of the valve disk that exerts a varying supporting force with respect to the valve disk via the configuration of the top surface of the valve disk.

  • Patent number: 10988180
Abstract: A cab mount for attaching a frame to a body is provided to prevent a forcible movement of the body generated under the influence of vertical vibration of the frame. A first cab mount includes: a collar extending vertically; and an upper mount rubber and a lower mount rubber disposed to face in the upper-lower direction on an outer periphery of the collar. The collar is attached to a body of a vehicle by being inserted into an attachment hole of a ladder frame of the vehicle while a peripheral part of the attachment hole is positioned between the upper mount rubber and the lower mount rubber. The upper mount rubber is spaced apart from the ladder frame in the upper-lower direction by a first predetermined distance while the lower mount rubber is spaced apart from the ladder frame in the upper-lower direction by a second predetermined distance.

  • Patent number: 10988060
Abstract: A pneumatic seat support by itself supports a seat above a floor of a vehicle. The pneumatic seat support has upper and lower air chambers. The lower air chamber is a rigid cylindrical tube. The upper air chamber is a flexible cylindrical bellows, with a diameter greater than the diameter of the tube. Three or more linear shafts extending through the upper air chamber and into the lower air chamber provide a single-degree-of-freedom bearing support structure that allows vertical motion of the seat but withstands horizontal loads on the seat. When the seat moves vertically downward, it compresses air in both chambers, providing a seat support system with a natural oscillation frequency which is less than 2.4 Hz, and preferably in the range of 1.5-2.2 Hz.

  • Patent number: 10981548
Abstract: A method for compensating for excessively low actuating dynamics of a mechanical brake of a transportation vehicle, wherein a dividing unit receives a predefinition for a target overall retardation of the transportation vehicle and determines a mechanical target braking torque based on the target overall retardation and signals the same to the mechanical brake. The dividing unit predicts a mechanical actual braking torque of the brake by a model of the brake actuator and, based on the predicted mechanical actual braking torque, by activating at least one predetermined transportation vehicle component that is different from the mechanical brake, to generate a compensation torque, by which a control deviation which results when adjusting the mechanical actual braking torque to the mechanical target braking torque is compensated and the target overall retardation results in the transportation vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10967766
Abstract: An energy absorber (100) for a vehicle seat (1), in particular for a linear adjuster (60) of the vehicle seat (1), includes a deformation element (110). The deformation element (110) is deformable by forces occurring in a vehicle collision. The energy absorber (100) includes a bending element (120) that releases the deformation element (110). Upon achieving a bending load acting on the bending element (120), the bending element (120) bends and the bending element (120) thereby releases the deformation element (110) to a lesser extent. A linear adjuster (60) for a vehicle seat (1) is also provided, having the energy absorber (100). Further, a vehicle seat (1) is provided having at least such one linear adjuster (60).

  • Patent number: 10962073
Abstract: An elastomeric compression spring for isolating vibrations between a first part and a second part. The first part is movable in a direction relative to the second part. The elastomeric compression spring comprises a tube elongated along a central axis of the tube. The central axis of the tube is perpendicular to the direction. The tube is configured to compress in the direction. The tube comprises an outer surface comprising an initial contact line configured to initially receive contact from the first part. The tube further comprises at least one load tuning feature in the outer surface, parallel to the central axis, and circumferentially spaced apart from the initial contact line. The at least one load tuning feature creates a localized change in a thickness of the tube and a stiffness of the elastomeric compression spring at the at least one load tuning feature.
