  • Patent number: 9371054
Abstract: In a webbing take-up device, a structure for interlocking a second lock pawl with a first lock pawl is only a shaft. It also suffices for switching between restricting of rotation of a lock ring and cancelling of the restricting to be carried out merely by moving a piston by gas pressure generated at a gas generator. In this way, by a simple structure, it is possible to switch between a mode, in which torsional deformation is brought about at a sub torsion main body of a sub torsion shaft, and a mode, in which torsional deformation is not brought about at the sub torsion main body of the sub torsion shaft.

  • Patent number: 9371055
Abstract: In a webbing take-up device, due to actuation of a pre-tensioning mechanism when a vehicle collision, a piston is moved, rack teeth of the piston mesh with pinion teeth of a pinion, causing the pinion rotate and a spool to be rotated in the take-up direction. In a state where a large rotational force in the pull-out direction is acting from an occupant on the pinion, through a webbing and the spool, a rack tooth is broken by a pinion tooth when the rack teeth initially mesh with the pinion teeth, especially by a tip end of the rack tooth meshing with the pinion tooth. Therefore, sticking-in of the pinion teeth rack teeth and the pinion teeth can be suppressed, or easily eliminated, enabling loss in force transmitted from the piston to the pinion to be reduced.

  • Patent number: 9365379
Abstract: The machine includes a first winding roller and a concave plate extending around the first winding roller. The first winding roller and the concave plate define a feed channel of the web material. Upstream of the concave plate there is arranged a moving member including a pinching surface cooperating with the first winding roller to pinch the web material against the first winding roller. The moving member is arranged and controlled to pinch the web material against the surface of the first winding roller and decelerate the web material between the moving member and the surface of the first winding roller, causing a leading edge to wind around itself to form a winding nucleus of a log.

  • Patent number: 9358951
Abstract: A counterweight that biases a ratchet lever toward an unlocking side, in addition to a self weight of the ratchet lever, is provided in a mechanism that locks pull-out operation of a seatbelt according to operation of an acceleration sensor. The counterweight is provided with a moment transmission projection that allows the ratchet lever to turn freely as a result of non-engagement between the counterweight and the ratchet lever when a tilt angle of a seat back is less than 60°, and that transmits rotational moment by a self weight of the counterweight (rotational moment in the direction of an arrow R3) to the ratchet lever as a rotary bias force toward the unlocking side as a result of engagement between the counterweight and an engagement wall of the ratchet lever when the tilt angle of the seat back is 60° or more.

  • Patent number: 9358952
Abstract: In a pretensioner mechanism, movement of a piston is anchored by an anchoring pin. The anchoring pin is crushed and the piston is allowed to move. Hence, a pinion is turned by a rack of the piston. A facilitating cavity is formed in the anchoring pin. Crushing and deformation of the anchoring pin in a diametric direction thereof due to a movement of the rack is facilitated by the facilitating cavity. Therefore, the anchoring pin may be easily crushed and deformed in the diametric direction by the movement of the rack, and the action of the anchoring pin caused by the movement of the rack may be effectively made consistent.

  • Patent number: 9346651
Abstract: The invention relates to a winding machine, on which, in alternation, a wound package is wound in a winding position of a spindle, while at the same time a completely wound package is removed from another spindle. With winding machines according to the prior art, the completely wound package must be removed quickly before the other wound package has reached a critical diameter to avoid a collision of their lateral faces. According to the invention, a shifting device shifts the completely wound package before or during the winding process of the wound package such that the axial extensions of the wound packages have no overlap. The collision of the wound packages can thus be prevented as the diameter of the wound package increases, whereby a more compact design with a smaller spacing of the spindles is made possible and an operator has more time to remove the completely wound spool.

By using the water-soluble film roll 3 and paying out a water-soluble film 1 while holding the masking materials 5 adhered to the end faces 4, it is possible to prevent moisture from adhering to the end faces 4 and to prevent the water-soluble film 1 from rupturing due to welding of the film 1 with itself. In this connection, the masking materials 5 are preferably a plastic film capable of being adhered to the end faces 4 with a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

  • Patent number: 9340389
Abstract: Coreless rolls of tissue, such as rolls of bath tissue or paper towels, are produced by winding tissue logs on a mandrel having retractable pins. During winding, the pins extend and penetrate the first several windings of the log as it is initially wound, which prevents slippage. After the winding is complete, the pins retract to allow the tissue log to slide off of the mandrel for subsequent slitting into individual product rolls and packaging. The penetration of the pins into the first several windings of the log tends to mechanically entangle and structurally unify those windings to create a “soft core”. At the same time, the properties of the tissue sheets within the soft core are the same as the other sheets within the roll and are therefore usable by the consumer.
