  • Patent number: 11922440
Abstract: Embodiments forecast demand of an item by receiving historical sales data for the item for a plurality of past time periods including a plurality of features that define one or more feature sets. Embodiments use the feature sets as inputs to one or more different algorithms to generate a plurality of different models. Embodiments train each of the different models. Embodiments use each of the trained models to generate a plurality of past demand forecasts for each of some or all of the past time periods. Embodiments determine a root-mean-square error (“RMSE”) for each of the past demand forecasts and, based on the RMSE, determine a weight for each of the trained models and normalize each weight. Embodiments then generate a final demand forecast for the item for each future time period by combining a weighted value for each trained model.

  • Patent number: 11853932
Abstract: Techniques for improving communication and expectation setting between various parties/communities of a crowdsourced platform are disclosed. The platform is used for reporting issues in a target system, program or product. A customer/subscriber entity enters a target brief in the platform. In response, a researcher enters a submission in the system. If the submission is valid, it is presented to the customer and a response-time or service level agreement (SLA) timer is started. If the customer agrees with the submission, it is marked as complete and the researcher is paid. If the customer disputes the submission, a third-party intervenes and the timer is paused until dispute resolution. If the submission requires more information the researcher is requested accordingly and the timer is reset. If at any point, the timer expires, the parties are notified and the submission is closed.

  • Patent number: 11263566
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for seasonal pattern determination and validation. In one or more embodiments, a set of time-series data is received to analyze for seasonal behavior. In response a plurality of patterns may be generated, including a first pattern and a second pattern, such that each of the first pattern and the second pattern approximate data points that represent a same sub-period of multiple instances of a season within the set of time-series data. One or more other instances of the season may then be analyzed to determine whether at least part of the first pattern or the second pattern is detected. Based at least in part on determining that the at least part of the first pattern is detected in the at least part of the same sub-period, a responsive action that is associated with the first pattern may be performed.

  • Patent number: 11138537
Abstract: Customer data volume of a database and estimated transaction throughput requirements for a multi-tiered transaction system are received at a server sizing computing device. The customer data volume is compared to the estimated transaction throughput requirements. Based upon the comparison of the customer data volume to the estimated transaction throughput requirements, a customer data volume edge case for which server hardware is improperly sized by transaction-based hardware sizing is detected. Using the customer data volume, a quantity of operational memory of a server sufficient to store the customer data volume generated under the detected customer data volume edge case during real-time transactional processing by the server is calculated.
