Abstract: An ostomy plug is described comprising first and second chambers having adjacent ends coupled to, and in fluid communication with, each other. The first chamber may be for insertion into a stoma. The second chamber may contain fluid for inflating the first chamber when the second chamber is squeezed or otherwise compressed. The plug may have a figure-of-eight configuration. The plug may be configured to permit venting of flatus while obstructing escape of other body waste from the stoma. The plug may incorporate an insertion aid for aiding insertion into a stoma. The plug may also incorporate a device for regulating the inflation pressure of the fluid to avoid undesirably high inflation pressures in the stoma.

Abstract: The invention consists of a broad method of presenting audible and visual cues for synchronizing the breathing cycle with an external timing reference for purposes of synchronizing the heart rate variability cycle with the breathing cycle, thereby achieving coherence of the heart rate variability cycle. A family of audible and visual indicators is specified for purposes of communicating breathing phase, change of breathing phase, progression of time within a phase, and progression of the phase relative to the internal perception of the practitioner.
Abstract: A neutralizer for electromagnetic radiation, particularly harmful radiation, caused by electro-magnetic fields from electric lines, installations, machines, appliances and apparatus includes a cylindrical body (1) with a semi-circular external groove (2) and two cylindrical chambers (4). A bar core (5) in the chambers (4) has solenoids (S) rotatably mounted thereon. Chambers (4) are hermetically closed by thread plugs (6). The difference in electrical potentials between the body (1) and the solenoid (S) causes a weak electric field of high frequency that annuls the effect of technical radiation in its environment.
Abstract: Devices and methods for augmenting or otherwise enhancing closure of body lumens comprise magnetic or magnetizable components or particles which are implanted in the wall of the lumen. The magnet fields exerted by the components or particles act to close the body lumen with a desired force.
