  • Patent number: 4877140
Abstract: A disassembleable clothes or other garment rack or stand having a base, a supporting axle rod extending upwardly from the base and a plurality of spool-like elements separated from each other, and disposed for rotation about the rod at different height levels, and each said element having angularly, upwardly extending peg-type hangers insertable into it, with each of said elements and its hangers being greater in size and extent than the element and its hangers at the level immediately below. The stand may be converted into a decorative simulated tree by providing an annular support member having a plurality of spaced-apart coaxial rings disposed on the top of the base arm branches hung from the peg hangers and resting upon the coaxial rings.

  • Patent number: 4840278
Abstract: A ceiling rack which comprises a preferably T-shaped attachment member carrying usually one or more pairs of elongated support members is useful for the uncluttered storage of a variety of articles which hang from the rack in an easily removable way. The attachment member has a horizontal bar which attaches to the ceiling and has a downwardly projecting vertical stem mounted telescopically to (and preferably outside) a height adjusting member. To the lower end of this height adjusting member is attached a frame to which is removably attached at least one elongated horizontal support member. Plural support members are preferably parallel to each other and when a pair of support members is chosen, each of the pair is equidistant from the height adjusting member although not necessarily in the same horizontal plane as the lower end of the height adjusting member.

  • Patent number: 4840279
Abstract: A storage rack comprised of a pair of brackets, each of which preferably and advantageously is of a two-piece construction so that they can be easily packaged for storage and shipping. Along with these brackets there is provided a number of shelves which are of a vinyl coated wire construction and can be in different lengths. The storage racks are attached to a cabinet door by first affixing the brackets in parallel, spaced-apart relationship to the inside of the cabinet door. In affixing these brackets to the cabinet door, the spacing between them should at least closely approximate the length of shelves to be supported by the brackets. It is not necessary that the spacing between the brackets be exact, since the shelves are designed to compensate for variations in the spacing between the brackets. In this respect, the shelves have a bottomwall, a front wall and a pair of side walls.

  • Patent number: 4838436
Abstract: Three separate embodiments of file drawer fillers are provided in the invention. One filler is partially self-adjusting and two fillers are completely self-adjusting in length to accommodate variations in the number of documents in a file or desk drawer. A first embodiment is a substantially rectangular panel strip transversely fan-folded to form several connecting smaller panels of equal size. The folds are aligned horizontally with the two end panels positioned vertically to support filed materials in a vertical position. A second embodiment is provided in an elongated enclosed bellows endwardly connected to vertical end panels. The end panels form the document support surface. The bellows portion of the device is affixed with an air valve which allows the release or intake of air to adjust supporting length of the bellows. A third embodiment entails a horizontal compression spring endwardly attached to two vertical end panels with the end panels providing document support surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4832206
Abstract: An article holding device, for holding down relatively light-weight articles onto the open wire rack of a dishwasher, is in the form of a stretchable, elongated rectangular mesh. The mesh is attached at opposite ends to rigid plastic connector bars which may be placed on the outside of the dishwasher rack across adjacent vertical support wires. The elasticity or resiliency of the mesh when the connector bars engage the support wires on opposite ends of the dishwasher rack causes the mesh member to stretch across, and exert a downward force onto, articles placed beneath it on the rack to prevent such articles from bouncing out of position during operation of the dishwasher.

  • Patent number: 4832209
Abstract: A shelf of laminated material, particularly of sheet metal, includes downwardly bent edges at the sides thereof, especially at the longitudinal sides. The downwardly bent edges form stiffening portions which over the width thereof have cross-sectional profiles which are at least partially opened toward the center of the shelf. Additional sectional members of laminated material are provided which have a cross-sectional shape which fits at least in certain areas to the open cross-sectional profile of the bent edges of the shelf. The additional sectional members are attachable and fixable on or in the bent edges of the shelf and may be additionally connectible to the shelf.

  • Patent number: 4828121
Abstract: A flat blank formed of transparent, synthetic plastic material which when erected creates an open bin that is readily secured to the front edge of a supermarket shelf to enlarge its capacity to store and display additional merchandise. The blank is constituted by a rectangular base panel whose opposing long sides are joined by living hinges to the corresponding sides of rear and front panels, the opposing ends of the rear panel being joined by living hinges to end panels. By folding up the front and rear panels and swinging in the end panels and latching them to the front and base panels, a three-dimensional bin is created whose rear panel can then be adhesively attached to holding clips received in the existing price channel at the front edge of the shelf.

  • Patent number: 4821891
Abstract: The instant invention comprises an improvement in hat racks useful for storing and carrying a soft-brimmed western-style hat adjacent to the ceiling of an automobile or truck passenger enclosure. The improvement resides in the shape of the frame of the hat rack. Said hat rack frame is shaped in such fashion that no pressure is asserted on the brim of a hat which is inserted in said hat rack, other than that pressure caused or asserted by the weight of the crown of the hat, as the hat is inserted in and rests within said hat rack in an upside-down configuration whereby the crown of the hat extends down from the hat rack into the automobile or truck passenger enclosure.
