Abstract: A computer-implemented method, medium, and system for converting borehole images into three dimensional structures for numerical modeling and simulation applications are disclosed. In one computer-implemented method, multiple CT-scan images of a core sample of a rock are received, where the core sample includes a borehole, and the multiple CT-scan images are cross-section images of the core sample at multiple depths of the borehole. A triangulation process is performed on pixels of each CT-scan image and with respect to each of multiple circumferential position angles. Multiple radii of the borehole corresponding to the multiple circumferential position angles are determined for each CT-scan image. Multiple nodal coordinates of 3D numerical model mesh of the borehole are generated based on the multiple radii of the borehole. An advisory on drilling window limits of mud weight is provided based on the multiple nodal coordinates of the 3D numerical model mesh of the borehole.

Abstract: Systems and methods of timeline visualization that define a table structure which represents supply chain management actions in a generic way. The content of the table is then processed by the timeline visualization to extract the entities, events, their relationships, and their attributes. These entities are transformed into time axes, while the events are transformed into a visual representation of their attributes using color, shapes, and text labels. The events may be positioned on a canvas, above or below a timeline axis, depending on whether they are upstream or downstream events, using a layout module which determines the position on the x-axis (time) and y-axis.

  • Patent number: 11941753
Abstract: This application discloses methods, apparatus, and electronic devices for face pose estimation and three-dimensional face reconstruction. The face pose estimation method comprises: acquiring a two-dimensional face image for processing, constructing a three-dimensional face model corresponding to the two-dimensional face image, and determining a face pose of the two-dimensional face image based on face feature points of the three-dimensional face model and face feature points of the two-dimensional face image. With this approach, the face pose estimation is performed based on the three-dimensional face model corresponding to the two-dimensional face image, instead of only based on a three-dimensional average face model. As a result, a high accuracy pose estimation can be obtained even for a face with large-angle and exaggerated facial expressions. Thus, robustness of the pose estimation can be effectively improved.

  • Patent number: 11861763
Abstract: A contrast ratio color picker system is described that generates, based on a selected color, a contrast ratio color picker that presents a filtered palette of colors satisfying a contrast ratio threshold, relative to the selected color. To do so, the contrast ratio color picker system computes a relative luminance value for the selected color and identifies a contrast ratio threshold for the digital content. The contrast ratio color picker system then selects a palette from a target color space and generates a filtered palette by masking pixels displaying colors of the target color space palette that fail to satisfy the contrast ratio threshold. The filtered palette is then output as part of the contrast ratio color picker, which enables application of colors selected from the filtered palette to digital content.

  • Patent number: 11804019
Abstract: One implementation forms a composited stream of computer-generated reality (CGR) content using multiple data streams related to a CGR experience to facilitate recording or streaming. A media compositor obtains a first data stream of rendered frames and a second data stream of additional data. The rendered frame content (e.g., 3D models) represents real and virtual content rendered during a CGR experience at a plurality of instants in time. The additional data of the second data stream relates to the CGR experience, for example, relating to audio, audio sources, metadata identifying detected attributes of the CGR experience, image data, data from other devices involved in the CGR experience, etc. The media compositor forms a composited stream that aligns the rendered frame content with the additional data for the plurality of instants in time, for example, by forming time-stamped, n-dimensional datasets (e.g., images) corresponding to individual instants in time.

  • Patent number: 11710262
Abstract: Automatic font synthesis for modifying a local font to have an appearance that is visually similar to a source font is described. A font modification system receives an electronic document including the source font together with an indication of a font descriptor for the source font. The font descriptor includes information describing various font attributes for the source font, which define a visual appearance of the source font. Using the source font descriptor, the font modification system identifies a local font that is visually similar in appearance to the source font by comparing local font descriptors to the source font descriptor. A visually similar font is then synthesized by modifying glyph outlines of the local font to achieve the visual appearance defined by the source font descriptor. The synthesized font is then used to replace the source font and output in the electronic document at the computing device.
