Abstract: A shelving system comprising a shelf, a vertical support structure, and a shelf bracket. The shelf bracket consists of a base member and a fastener to secure the base member to a vertical support structure, a lower support ledge extending outwardly from the base member, and an upper gripper arm also extending outwardly from the base member. The upper gripper arm and lower support ledge are arranged to form an opening therebetween for the reception of a shelf. A knife edge is formed an integral part of the upper gripper arm and is arranged to penetrate and mechanically interlock with the shelf, which interlocking increases with increased cantilever loading of the shelf.

Abstract: The material handling apparatus is disclosed comprising a plurality of storage bins and a continuous pathway. The pathway includes spaced apart linear pathway segments joined by arcuate end segments. The bins are supported on the pathway to move about the pathway in a predetermined desired direction. Each of the bins is hingedly connected to one another to define a continuous chain of hingedly connected bins. A drive mechanism is provided to independently drive each of the bins with the drive means operable only when the hinge connector members of the bins are disposed in a linear pathway segment.

Abstract: A display stand for demonstrating a distance measuring device. A planar surface having a front side supports the distance measuring device between two integral flanges. The flanges terminate at opposite ends of the planar surface. A supporting leg supports the stand in a sufficiently vertical position to permit viewing of the planar surface and the distance measuring device. A measuring indicia disposed on the front side displays the distance between said flanges when a customer initiates a measurement on the display device.

Abstract: A combination is provided comprising a shipping rack and a support pallet therefor. The shipping rack includes a bottom wall and upstanding end walls. The shipping rack is provided with casters so that it may be rolled along a surface. The pallet includes support structure for holding the shipping rack slightly above the ground when the pallet is placed therebeneath so that the casters do not engage the ground thereby preventing unwanted movement of the shipping rack.

Abstract: A display assembly formed from a number of individual display modules which are snap-fit together so as to provide a unitary display assembly. Each of the individual display modules is in turn formed from identical side walls and identical front and rear panels, the side walls being mounted to the front and rear panels in a snap-fitting relation so as to form a unitary structure. Further structures such as base stands and angular brackets can be provided which enhance the versatility of the display assembly as a whole.

Abstract: A self-contained, portable dryer for use in drying articles of clothing includes a hanger bar with telescoping segments for selective collapse and extension, and a plurality of hangers stored within the telescoping segments and retrievable from within the hanger bar for erection and suspension from the hanger bar in one of two selectable configurations to accommodate the various articles of clothing ordinarily washed or rinsed out by travelers and hung out to dry at facilities available to such travelers.

Abstract: Proposed is a device (1) for holding and displaying CD, audio or video cassettes (2), which with their lower edge areas are obliquely supported in grooves (5) in a case (4), the grooves (5) having support areas cooperating in pairs, between which the cassettes are held in each of their skewed positions. The groove base can be provided with median rounded-off projections (16) for the cassettes and may have a cylindrical form or at least a section. The side walls of the grooves are recessed, and the grooves are stepwise arranged and may be mutually offset in height. The base (4) may be produced as an extruded section of profiled sheet steel or by vacuum molding, wherein the support fillets corresponding to the recessed portions of the grooves are removably placed in a mold and are removed from the mold together with the molded plastic sheet.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a storage rack comprising upright posts resting on a ground, girders fastened in each case between a pair of posts, the girders being fastened to the respective posts in a line such that a roller conveyor supported by the girders is inclined at a slope with respect to the ground, there is a row of perforations arranged in each pair of posts, a mounting plate joined rigidly to the girder, the plate having at least one slotted hole arranged therein, and a fastening member thrust through a perforation and through a slotted hole whereby the girder is pulled firmly against the post, and the mounting plate is provided with a first toothing that extends in a direction perpendicular to the girder and co-operates with and, owing to the fastening member, remains engaged with a second toothing.Preferably the second toothing is arranged in a separate retaining plate, through which the fastening member passes.

Abstract: The extension arms (3) attached to the clothes display stand so as to be vertically adjustable are inclined obliquely downwards at an angle .alpha. of approximately 105.degree. relative to their supporting arrangements (1, 2). They are provided, on their top side, with V-shaped grooves (6), in which clothes-hangers can be suspended in a horizontally and vertically staggered arrangement.

Abstract: A plurality of factory constructed modules are user assembled to form a free standing display rack. Each module includes a pair of vertically aligned open front pans that are secured to an L-shaped frame constructed of rectangular tube elements. First and second modules are connected together to form a side-by-side array and a third module is connected to the array at right angles thereto. One end of the third module is adjacent the rear of the array and the open front of the third module is generally coplanar with a side of the array. A corner adapter interposed between the third module and the array includes a cover section that is generally coplanar with the front of the third module and bridges a narrow vertical gap between the front of the third module and array side adjacent thereto.

Abstract: The present loading grid assembly includes a plurality of support bars which are held together by assembly support rods which lie orthogonal thereto. The assembly support rods are terminated in end blocks which have grooves formed therein and which are formed to be substantially symmetrical about the assemby support rods. Accordingly, the assembly can be turned over so that any sag which results from a load is reversed thereby providing wear on the upper and lower sides of the assembly. In addition, the present device includes post guides, spacer blocks, stacking posts and interlocking members. The post guides fit into the grooves of the end blocks and into grooves of the stacking posts to provide a support means for a second tier of support bars. The spacer blocks fit over the assembly support rods to define a changeable separation between adjacent support bars while the interlocking members securely separate adjacent bars and provide further vertical support to an assembly.

Abstract: A sliding shelf divider comprises a generally U-shaped channel and a divider slidable along the channel. The channel has steps at the intersections of the side and bottom walls. The divider comprises a base member having a plate portion with a tab depending therefrom. The base member also has an upstanding ridge with a portion that overhangs the plate portion bottom edge. The tab and overhanging ridge portion form a slot for receiving a channel wall. The tab free end contacts the interior surface of the channel step for supporting the base member, and the free end of the overhanging ridge has a hook that engages the step exterior surface. The base member is thus retained on and slidable along the channel. A wire frame is received within a groove in the ridge. Tilting the base member disengages the hook from the channel for easy disassembly of the base member from the channel.

Abstract: A high density pack out gondola display rack comprises a firxed base, an upright extending vertically from the rear of the fixed base, which upright has at least two parallel columns of vertically spaced slots from which at least one shelf is supported in cantilever fashion over the fixed base. Both the base and the shelf have downwardly and forwardly sloping top surfaces such that product supported on the top surfaces slide forwardly against abutments at the front edge of the base and shelf. In the preferred embodiment, a fixed display rack having multiple columns and rows of forwardly and downwardly sloping shelves is mounted on the base.

Abstract: A mobile storage apparatus incorporating a plurality of storage carts arranged side-by-side and having casters on opposite sides of each cart supporting said carts on a floor surface for independent front-to-rear movement between a storage position and a loading position, the casters on adjacent sides of each pair of the carts being rollably received in a pair of elongated track channels forming a track member supported on said floor surface, whereby only the casters on one side of each cart is rollably received within a track channel of a track member and the casters on the opposite side of each cart are freely rollably supported upon the floor surface.

Abstract: A system for mounting articles includes a channel-shaped track member attachable to a downwardly facing surface having a central portion, side portions and coplanar bottom portions extending toward each other from the side portions and having confronting free edges. One of the side portions and the bottom portion integral therewith have a plurality of cut-out portions spaced apart such that the distance between any two adjacent cut-out portions is a constant dimension A. A first article holding rack has a pair of vertical arms each with a guide at the top, these guides being shaped, dimensioned and spaced to enter two adjacent ones of the cut-out portions. A second article holding rack has a pair of vertical arms each with a guide at the top, these guides being shaped, dimensioned and spaced to enter two non-adjacent ones of the cut-out portions.

Abstract: A method for keeping goods and, if necessary, supplementing them to showcases in a shopping floor is disclosed. Also an apparatus to be used for practicing this method is disclosed.

Abstract: A mounting device for displaying items on slatwall having grooves of T-shaped cross section formed therein. The mounting device comprises a base having a pin projecting rearwardly therefrom for extending through the open throat of the T-groove of the slatwall. The distal end of the pin has a transverse cross bar thereon which is aligned with the open throat of the T-groove and moved therethrough into the channel portion of the groove when the device is being mounted on the slatwall, and then the entire device is then rotated about its longitudinal axis to turn the cross bar into a transverse position relative to the channel. The cross bar of the mounting device is of special configuration so that a wedging action occurs when the device is rotated to move the cross bar into it's transverse position which firmly and demountably attaches the device to the slatwall. A support fixture is interchangeably carried by the base of the mounting device for supporting various articles to be displayed on the slatwall.

Abstract: A slat wall display apparatus including a panel assembly formed from a number of panels having connecting channels formed on the panels and a connector for matingly engaging the connecting channels, the connector having "T" shaped, hook-shaped, or circular-shaped edges to matingly engage the channels, the panel assembly being mounted in a floor or wall frame, one or more of the panels including a light for illuminating the panel assembly.

Abstract: A shelf unit includes top and bottom, spaced, generally parallel and coextensive horizontal surfaces comprising a plurality of spaced, generally parallel and coextensive elongated horizontal members and a plurality of spaced, generally parallel and coextensive crossmembers extending generally perpendicularly to the elongated horizontal members. Left and right spaced, generally parallel and coextensive elongated vertical side walls comprise a plurality of spaced, generally parallel and coextensive vertical bars and a plurality of spaced, generally parallel and coextensive crossbars extending generally perpendicularly to the elongated vertical members. The upper and lower edges of the left and right side walls are secured to the outer edges of the top and bottom surfaces so that the left and right walls extend generally perpendicularly to the bottom and top surfaces to define a chamber.

Abstract: An open wall storage assembly for use with unfinished walls including a large area panel having vertical U-shaped channels for receiving the wall supports therein so that the assembly extends into the wall region. Transverse shelving is provided for affixation at desired locations to provide both structural support and serve as fire breaks within the wall region.
