  • Patent number: 11558627
Abstract: Sketch copy mode may be used to code blocks comprising irregular lines, syntax redundancy may be removed from blocks with special characteristics, and/or run value coding may be simplified. The parsing dependencies in palette coding design may be removed. For example, the context modeling dependency of the syntax element palette_transpose_flag may be removed, for example, by simplifying the corresponding context model. The context modeling of the syntax element palette_mode may be removed, for example, by using run-length coding without using context. The syntax parsing dependencies and/or the syntax signaling dependencies that are related with escape color signaling may be removed. A palette table generation process may handle input screen content video with high bit depths, for example, at the encoder side.

  • Patent number: 11546610
Abstract: Video stream data is selectively scaled so that sections within regions of interest (ROI) maintain high resolution while areas not within the region of interest are down-scaled to reduce bandwidth cost of transmission. A low compression encoder compresses sections of a video frame corresponding to one or more ROI without motion search or prediction mode decision to generate low-compression section data. The video frame is downscaled and a high compression encoder compresses the resulting downscaled video frame with prediction mode decision to generate high-compression frame data.

  • Patent number: 11531830
Abstract: In many real-life applications, ample amount of examples from one class are present while examples from other classes are rare for training and learning purposes leading to class imbalance problem and misclassification. Methods and systems of the present disclosure facilitate generation of an extended synthetic rare class super dataset that is further pruned to obtain a synthetic rare class dataset by maximizing similarity and diversity in the synthetic rare class dataset while preserving morphological identity with labeled rare class training dataset. Oversampling methods used in the art result in cloning of datasets and do not provide the needed diversity. The methods of the present disclosure can be applied to classification of noisy phonocardiogram (PCG) signals among other applications.

  • Patent number: 11487093
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for scanning microscopy wherein a specimen is scanned simultaneously with a plurality of illumination spots of an excitation light. The light emitted by one specimen location irradiated with one illumination spot is detected independently of the light emitted by another specimen location illuminated with another illumination spot. A microscopic image of the specimen can be compiled from the emitted light detected for the different specimen locations. The method provides that the intensities of the different illumination spots are set independently of one another, and in that the illumination spots are guided over the specimen one after another in a scan line.
