Patent number: 8219548Abstract: The execution of a process is analyzed by a data processing method using a data analysis device for processing a job by combining the processes of transforming input data and generating output data. The execution history of the process is recorded, and each time the process is executed, it is determined whether the process execution has a high anomaly probability based on a predetermined determination indicator. Upon determining that the process execution has a high anomaly probability, the process log information of the process including the determination indicator is recorded, and based on the process log information and the process execution history, the process with the high anomaly probability is further analyzed. By determining whether the process is anomalous or not, the process history analysis information including the analysis result and the execution history of the process to be analyzed is generated.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2007Date of Patent: July 10, 2012Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Akihito Mizoe, Hitoshi Mizutani, Atsushi Hirata

Patent number: 8214368Abstract: An extracting unit extracts keywords from metadata extracted from played scenes. An attaching unit attaches a semantic class to the keywords. A semantic class determining unit determines whether the semantic class is a should-be-played class. When there is a keyword with the should-be-played class attached, an acquiring unit acquires at least one keyword without having the should-be-played class as a should-be-observed keyword. When the metadata includes the should-be-observed keyword and a keyword to which a should-be-stopped class is attached, an appearance determining unit determines that a scene including the should-be-observed keyword appears in contents.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2008Date of Patent: July 3, 2012Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Tomohiro Yamasaki, Takahiro Kawamura

Patent number: 8201155Abstract: User assemblies can be created by a compiler that can handle more than one type definition during execution. Local copies are created for respective authoritative types in a code library, and the local copies are marked with a local type identifier. An authoritative type identifier (e.g., a globally unique identifier (GUID)) is copied from the authoritative type to the local type, and functions and properties associated with the local type are also copied from the authoritative type. Authoritative types are resolved for requested types when a local assembly references a local type from a compiled user assembly. The local type can be identified by a local type identifier, and an authoritative type can be retrieved from the code library that has a same authoritative type identifier as the requested type. A local copy of the retrieved authoritative type can be copied to the local assembly under compilation. The compiler can then emit user assemblies that comprise merely local types.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2009Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Avner Y. Patent number: 8190623Abstract: An Internet infrastructure that supports searching of images by correlating a search image with that of plurality of images hosted in Internet based servers in selected categories, containing an image search server, and a web browser contained in a client device that supports displaying of the images. The image search server supports delivery of search result pages to a client device based upon a search string or search image, and contains images from a plurality of Internet based web hosting servers. The image search server also delivers characteristic analysis of an image to the client device upon request. The selection of images is done within selected categories and is based upon: (i) word match, that is, by selecting images, titles of which correspond to the search string; and (ii) image correlation, that is, by selecting images, image characteristics of which correlates to that of search image. The selection of images in the search result page also occurs on the basis of popularity.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2008Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: Enpulz, L.L.C.Inventor: James D. Bennett

Patent number: 8185529Abstract: Providing immediate search feedback is disclosed. Search input is received within a search field of a web browser application. Based on characteristics of the search input, a determination is made whether to automatically submit a query to a search engine. In one aspect, the query is automatically submitted to the search engine. The query is based on the received first search input. Results are displayed within the web browser application, the results web page returned from the query submitted to the search engine.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2010Date of Patent: May 22, 2012Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Scott James Forstall, Donald D. Patent number: 8180786Abstract: A symbolic query exploration (QEX) module automatically produces output information that can be used to evaluate a database. The QEX module operates by converting an input query into a formula for processing by a satisfiability module theories (SMT) solver module. The SMT solver module generates a model that satisfies the formula. The model yields table information that is used to populate the database and, optionally, parameter information that is used to instantiate the query. A query evaluation module then submits the instantiated query to the populated database and evaluates whether an evaluation result produced thereby agrees with pre-specified condition information. The QEX module can preprocess the formula using either (or both) an eager expansion approach (in which the formula is expanded in an upfront manner) or a lazy expansion approach (in which axioms are identified for later possible expansion by the SMT solver module).Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2009Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Margus Veanes, Nikolai Tillmann, Jonathan Paul de Halleux, Pavel Grigorenko

Patent number: 8180790Abstract: Search macros suggestions are provided to refine a user's search. When a search query is received from an end user, one or more search macros are determined to be relevant to the search query. The search macros are then provided to the end user as suggestions for refining the user's search. In some instances, the end user may chose to select one of the suggested search macros. A search is then performed using the search query and the selected search macro to provide search results to the end user that may be more relevant to the user's search.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2010Date of Patent: May 15, 2012Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Gaurav Sareen, Raghavendra Vinayak Prabhu, Yofay Kari Lee

Patent number: 8140596Abstract: Methods and systems for improving a data transformation operation that converts a source data instance containing repeating elements into a target data instance having a user-specified structure, based solely on a user's specification of a target template. The methods and systems derive and calculate sub-iteration contexts by applying a selected heuristic to the source data instance and the target template, and use these sub-iteration contexts to create a target data instance having a repeating structure that agrees with the user-specified target template. The methods and systems can be customized by the selection of heuristic, and by the specification of explicit sub-iteration contexts that may override the derived contexts.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2009Date of Patent: March 20, 2012Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Armageddon Rhabdizo Brown, David Everett Simmen
