Abstract: In one aspect, A computerized method of a gateway distributing routes learned through routing protocols (RP) into a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) includes the step of providing a first gateway that receives a route over a routing protocol. The method includes the step of with the first gateway, redistributing the route to one or more peer routers as a BGP route based on one or more specified criteria. The method includes the step of setting a gateway precedence based on the redistribution of the route to the one or more peer routers as the BGP route. The method includes the step of, based on the gateway precedence, setting a second gateway to automatically redistribute the route with different priorities to influence steering of traffic to a preferred gateway.

  • Patent number: 11051355
Abstract: An access node (620) of the cellular network determines a correlation of an identifier of a user equipment (610) with an entry of a Pending Interest Table maintained by an Information Centric Networking node (670). The Pending Interest Table comprises an entry for each data object having a pending Information Centric Networking request (801) at the Information Centric Networking node (670). Based on the correlation, the access node (620) controls a connection of the user equipment (610) with the cellular network. This may involve deciding whether to release the user equipment (610) to idle mode or paging of the user equipment (610).

  • Patent number: 11032179
Abstract: Switch fabric in routers require tight characteristics in term of packet loss, fairness in bandwidth allocation and low latency for high-priority traffic. Such attributes have been resolved using specialized switch devices, but with the emergence of Data Center Bridging, the possibility of using commodity Ethernet switches to build switch fabric in routers is considered. Systems and methods are provided for estimating congestion associated with a network path in accordance with the variation in average delay experienced by samples of packets.

  • Patent number: 11006248
Abstract: A wireless communication system serves UEs over a 5GNR access point and a non-5GNR access point. The wireless base station transfers an attachment message for a UE to a network controller. The network controller transfers network signaling for the UE to the data network element responsive to the attachment message. The data network element transfers user data for the UE. The wireless base station transfers another attachment message that indicates a 5GNR attachment for another UE to the network controller. The network controller transfers other network signaling indicating the 5GNR attachment for the other UE to the data network element responsive to the other attachment message indicating the 5GNR attachment. The data network element transfers other user data for the other UE and monitors quality-of-service for the transfer of the other user data responsive to the 5GNR attachment indication in the other network signaling.

  • Patent number: 10972232
Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a retransmission method and a device. After receiving feedback information transmitted by a receiving device based on first information indicated by a retransmission mode, a transmitting device uses second information indicated by the retransmission mode to generate data, and transmits the data to the receiving device based on third information indicated by the retransmission mode. In this process, a plurality of retransmission modes are set, so that when different retransmission modes are used, the first information used for transmitting the feedback information, the second information used for generating the retransmitted data, or the third information used for transmitting the retransmitted data is different. Therefore, objectives of reducing HARQ overheads and ensuring transmission efficiency, reliability, and latency performance of a wireless communications system are achieved.

  • Patent number: 10951461
Abstract: An access point providing a client device with access to a communication network detects an anomaly in packet traffic being transmitted to or received from the client device. In response, the access point performs a packet capture by triggering the release of stored packets. The access point determines an anomaly type representing a root cause of the anomaly and annotates the packet capture with the anomaly type. The access point also detects radio frequency interference exceeding a prescribed threshold and, in response, performs a spectrum capture. The packet capture, annotated with the anomaly type, and the spectrum capture are reported either automatically or in response to a request.
