Abstract: A content distribution network is made up of terminals and servers that are connected as a network and cooperate in order to make content or data available to users. In order to be able to control access to the content via certain terminals, a solution called “URL signing” has been discussed. A “URL signing” solution requires establishing an active connection between a terminal requesting content and an originating server associated with the requested content. The solution relates to a method for accessing content implemented by a cache server, thus dispensing with the need for an active connection between a terminal requesting content and the originating server associated with the requested content.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, examining first actions imposed as part of a maintenance activity in respect of a communication network while the communication network is subjected to second actions as part of the maintenance activity, determining, based on the examining, that the first actions, in whole or in part, fail to adhere to a threshold, a requirement, or a specification, and based on the determining, reversing at least one action of the first actions. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A notification method is performed by at least a first device of a plurality of devices forming nodes of a network. The first device is suitable for sending and/or receiving at least one data message via a first communication link to and/or from at least one second device of the plurality. The notification method is adapted to the first device transmitting at least one notification message signaling at least one predetermined operation relating to at least one instance of the data message and performed by a functional entity of the first device, the notification message including an identifier of the first device, an identifier of the functional entity, an identifier of the operation, and an identifier common to all of the instances of the data message within the first device. Also provided are a method and device for modeling the network from the notification messages.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to isolating and reinstating nodes in a distributed ledger using proof of innocence. In some embodiments, a first plug-in embedded with the blockchain network may monitor consumer-initiated transactions submitted to an enterprise organization node to determine the legitimacy of each consumer-initiated transaction. The first plug-in may identify consumer-initiated transactions associated with malicious activity and may flag the consumer node for further analysis. A second plug-in may identify and analyze the consumer-initiated transactions associated with the consumer node to determine a proof of innocence value associated with the consumer node. The first plug-in may isolate the consumer node from the distributed ledger if the proof of innocence value exceeds a proof of innocence threshold. Alternatively, the first plug-in may permit the consumer node to remain within the distributed ledger if the proof of innocence value falls below the proof of innocence threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable media for ensuring that one or more compliance information bundles associated with one or more end-point identifiers maintain compliance with one or more regulations. It is detected that a rules engine has been updated with a new regulation. Based on an identification that one or more compliance information bundles associated with the one or more end-point identifiers will not be compliant with the new regulation after an expiration of a grace period associated with the new regulation, a status associated with each one or more compliance information bundles is changed to a provisionally-approved status. The changing of the status associated with each of the one or more compliance information bundles to the provisionally-approved status causes each of the one or more compliance information bundles to be treated, temporarily like the status of each the one or more compliance information bundles is an approved status.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing an IP multimedia services or subsystem (“IMS”) within a communication network. One system may include a server configured to facilitate multimedia communication services via the IMS. The server may include a memory storing an integrated IMS function and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The electronic processor may be configured to receive, with the integrated IMS function, a request to establish a multimedia communication session for a user equipment (“UE”) device over the communication network; and establish and control, with the integrated IMS function, the multimedia communication session for UE device over the communication network.

Abstract: A method performed by a WTRU may comprise receiving context information from infrastructure equipment and selecting a SLAP quadrant for MAC address allocation. The selecting may be based on the context information received from the infrastructure equipment, which may be a bootstrapping server for the WTRU. The method may further comprise transmitting, to a DHCP server, a DHCP message indicating the selected SLAP quadrant. In response to the transmitted DHCP message, a MAC address may be received and configured to the WTRU. Context information includes, but is not limited to, a number of nodes in a network, a type of network deployment, a type of network, a mobility configuration, a type of device management, a battery lifetime, a location or privacy configuration.

Abstract: A method for allowing a user to respond to a pop-up message sent by an online banking application. The method includes displaying a task message on a user device, providing a selection in the task message for performing a task, providing a selection in the task message that allows the user to be reminded about performing the task at a later time, and providing a time message that allows the user to determine when to receive the task message again and be reminded to perform the task if the user selects the selection for being reminded about performing the task. The method can also provide a no show selection in the task message that allows the user to prevent the task message from being shown again and provide a no show time message that allows the user to set an earliest date that the task message can be shown again.

Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, devices, and machine-readable mediums which provide for sidebar communication threads forked from, or related to, a principal thread. Messages in the sidebar communication thread may include a history of the principal thread, including one or more messages from the principal thread, and may include a proposed principal thread message that is the subject of the sidebar thread discussion. The sidebar thread may also include sidebar thread messages that carries the conversation of the sidebar thread participants. Once a termination condition is reached for the sidebar thread, the sidebar thread terminates and either the proposed principal thread message (as potentially modified by participants of the sidebar thread) becomes an accepted principal thread message and it is posted to the principal thread as if it was sent by the sidebar initiator or no message is posted (e.g., the proposed principal thread message is rejected).

Abstract: In one aspect, an example methodology implementing the disclosed techniques includes receiving, by a systems management console, a network address of a device in a virtual environment, and determining a network address associated with a virtual environment management console based on the received network address of the device in the virtual environment. The method also includes sending, by the systems management console via a systems management agent to the virtual environment management console using the determined network address associated with the virtual environment management console, a request for network addresses of virtual machine (VM) host servers and VMs in the virtual environment. The method also includes receiving, by the systems management console via the systems management agent from the virtual environment management console, the network addresses of the VM host servers and the VMs in the virtual environment and providing a notification of the discovered VM host servers and VMs.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods of for measuring and assuring performance in networked applications where edge computing is utilized, which may comprise determining or improving network and computational performance by the use of edge probing. Edge probing enables rapid measurement and assessment of networking and computational performance, where performance comprises speed latency, for a device using an edge compute node. Edge probing can be used to assess performance of and assign converged networking and computing infrastructure to applications and devices.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for establishing access to vehicles is provided. The embodiment may include identifying at least two devices, including a requesting device and a target device. The embodiment may also include identifying one or more networks, including at least one alternative network. The embodiment may further include evaluating each network from the one or more networks to determine a best network. The embodiment may also include establishing access from the requesting device to the target device over the determined best network.

Abstract: A highly versatile process control or factory automation field device is configured with an interface and communication connection structure that enables the field device to operate as a data server that communicates with and supports multiple different applications or clients, either directly or indirectly, while simultaneously performing standard process and factory automation control functions. Moreover, various different process control and factory automation network architectures and, in particular, communication architectures, support the versatile field device to enable the versatile field device to simultaneously communicate with multiple different client devices or applications (each associated with a different system) via a common communication network infrastructure, using the same or different communication protocols.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a provisioning service, such as a broker provisioner service (BPS), for provisioning a device (e.g., such as a control device and/or a mobile device) to one or more remote servers. The device may send a connection request message to the BPS to be provisioned with the remote servers (e.g., one or more services offered by the remote servers). The BPS may determine one or more services and/or brokers associated with the corresponding remote servers with which the device may be provisioned, e.g., based on provisioning rules. The BPS may apply the provisioning rules to determine the appropriate services and/or brokers and the corresponding remote servers with which the device may be provisioned. The BPS may send a provision message to the device. The device may establish communications with the provisioned services and/or brokers and/or the corresponding remote servers.

Abstract: A device comprises processing circuitry configured to configure an edge device to collect telemetry flow data output by a plurality of network devices and to generate processed telemetry flow data based on the collected telemetry flow data. The processing circuitry is further configured to receive the processed telemetry flow data from the edge device and store an indication of the processed telemetry flow data.

Abstract: A link aggregation load balancing apparatus includes a flow monitoring circuit and an initial allocation circuit. The flow monitoring circuit is arranged to monitor flows of a plurality of member ports belonging to a link aggregation group, for performing classification upon the plurality of member ports to generate a member port classification result. The initial allocation circuit is arranged to refer to the member port classification result for selecting a target member port from the plurality of member ports to act as a forward port of a data flow.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium for processing in-order messages. A message broker is provided with unique message keys to performing in-order ensuring that a batch of messages are sent on the same message broker partition or data flow. A reactive generic data streaming processor provides a parallel data stream uniquely grouped to each message broker partition or data flow. In-order processing is maintained on each parallel data stream by using downstream publishers that preserve strict order in each data stream. A terminal sync message with a unique message key to identifies end of in-order streaming a message group.

Abstract: A network system can communicate with user and provider devices to facilitate the provision of a network-based service. The network system can identify optimal service providers to provide services requested by users. The network can utilize context data in matching service providers with users. In particular, the network system can determine, based on context data associated with a user, whether to perform pre-request matching for that user. A service provider who is pre-request matched with the user can be directed by the network system to relocate via a pre-request relocation direction. When the user submits the service request after the pre-request match, the network system can either automatically transmit an invitation to the pre-request matched service provider or can perform post-request matching to identify an optimal service provider for the user.

Abstract: Operating a hierarchical-context area network includes receiving a first protocol data unit from an end user device via a virtual private network tunnel by a first virtual private network server, obtaining the first protocol data unit from the first virtual private network server, by a second virtual private network server as a current point of egress for transporting the first protocol data unit through the hierarchical-context area network, identifying, by the second virtual private network server, available data transport pathways for transporting the first protocol data unit through the hierarchical-context area network, pseudo-randomly identifying, by the second virtual private network server, an available data transport pathway from the available data transport pathways as a current data transport pathway, and sending, by the second VPN server, to the external device, via the data transport pathway, the first protocol data unit.
