  • Patent number: 12170702
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are disclosed for modifying the transmission of media content update packets based on a determination that the elapsed uplink time and remaining downlink time in the aggregate are within a satisfactory round-trip delay time. In this regard, the method, apparatus, and computer program product are configured to correlate a returned media content update packet with an associated device update packet or packets. Correlating media content update packets with an associated device update packet may require identifying a returned packet containing a media content update by analyzing packets containing video streams to identify packets comprising reference video frames. Identifying reference video frame packets may assist in identifying the associated uplink packet or packets containing device pose and position or other user input.

  • Patent number: 12170595
Abstract: Systems and methods enable static analysis of Service Assurance Policies (SAPs) for conflict detection in design time and enable conflict resolution in runtime. Conflicts degrade network slice performance and can, in some cases, disable a network. According to one implementation, a network device stores, for a Service Design and Creation (SDC) function, a Unified Network Slice Assurance Template (UNSAT) with multiple SAPs for a network slice configuration. The UNSAT includes a functional block identifying a first SAP associated with a functional category of a network function, and a resource block identifying a second SAP associated with a resource category of network infrastructure. The network device performs, based on the multiple SAPs, design time conflict identification that detects when actions from the multiple SAPs that are associated with a same network function conflict with each other and provides a notification when the design time conflict identification identifies a conflict.

  • Patent number: 12160456
Abstract: A multicasting download-to-mobile-device service that broadcasts and distributes digital media over cellular networks is described. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise a network that distributes a plurality of media titles (e.g., movies, tv shows, concerts, etc.) via multicast streams where the media titles are stored in local storage on a mobile electronic device (e.g., cellular telephones and tablets) and, by way of a mobile device app, allows users to play the stored media titles locally from their devices using current on demand playback methodologies. In addition, at least some preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise a data carousel that curates and delivers discrete media titles to selected cell towers and/or hubs, thereby providing for relevant media titles to be multicast to discrete regions and not the entire network. Finally, the data carousel may be configured to synchronize relevant titles for discrete users of the service.

  • Patent number: 12155551
Abstract: A monitoring service transmits network packets from a user's source network segment to a user-defined endpoint upon request from a user. The endpoint can be any valid private IP address or DNS name where traffic is to be sent. Users can further define a monitor, which combines the endpoint, the subnets that the users want to send traffic from, and probes that define how packets are sent to the endpoint. Users can enable probe (IPv4 and IPv6) support, and probes can use ICMP or TCP protocols. Probes can be transmitted towards the configured endpoint from the source segments that are defined, and report metrics, such as packet loss and round-trip time or other measured latency. The metrics can be compared against health monitoring metrics to determine whether any issues are associated with a compute service provider, generally, or with a user network segment.

  • Patent number: 12137030
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing a service request within a network environment can include a first cluster of fog nodes that execute service tasks. The cluster can include a primary fog node and nearest neighbor fog nodes. The primary fog node can receive, from the network, a service request, determine service request resource data that includes a first time, quantity of resource blocks required to serve the request, and a hold time required to serve the request locally. An edge controller, connected to the network and the first cluster, can receive, from the primary fog node, the service request resource data, identify available resources at the nearest neighbor fog nodes and the primary fog node, and determine whether resource blocks are available to fulfill the service request using deep reinforcement learning algorithms. The edge controller can also refer a rejected service request to a cloud computing system for execution.

  • Patent number: 12112137
Abstract: An approach for generating a distribution list. The approach analyzes a message associated with a user to create a message bag of words (BOW). The approach can analyze a history of messages associated with the user to create a plurality of history message BOWs. The approach can calculate similarity factors between the message BOW and the plurality of history BOWs, respectively. If a similarity factor is “>=” a predetermined similarity threshold, the approach can add a history message to a similar message list. The approach can calculate interest factors, based on the similarity factors, for contacts associated with the similarity factors in the similar message list. If an interest factor is “>=” a predetermined interest threshold, the approach can add a contact associated with the interest factor to a suggested contact list. The approach can prioritize the suggested contact list and insert the list as a distribution list.

  • Patent number: 12113669
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing the operation of a deployment are provided. The deployment may be managed in accordance with a subscription model. The subscription model may use subscriptions to define the extent and limits on use of services provided by the deployment. The subscription services and limits may be enforced by management controllers of network devices of the deployment. The management controllers may operate independently from control planes and data planes of the network devices. If a plane is suspected of being compromised, the management controllers may take action to confirm the suspicions. If confirmed, then remedial activity may be initiated to address the compromised plane. The remedial activity may include distributed enforcement of the subscriptions.
